I can tell you about changing the ability of a creature with the HIEW application (like bad32ro). First you open the heroes4.exe with HIEW, then you press F4 and you choose decode, now the view is different. Then you press F5 ("go to" button) and you enter .00654AC2 (code for monk). In the row .00654AC2 you can see push command, after that you have 2 more rows with push command and one with mov. You need to remember that all the pushes after the creature code EXCEPT THE LAST represent abilities. 3 push = 2 abilities + 1 finish, push 010 push 033 and push 028. 10 represents Death Ward, 33 represents ranged ability. 028 on some other creatures represents magic resistance but here it is not the case. Ok now we can change one of them, for example ranged with magic mirror, we go to the row that has push 033 and then press F3(edit), we're now in edit mode, we change 6A33 to 6A27 (27 is magic mirror) and press F9 (save). Now we turn of HIEW and start the game where we can see that the monks have magic mirror instead of ranged ability. I tried to go spellcaster for monks, the code is 40 but you have to define the spellbook specifically for the monks and they don't have mana I also don't know how to add stats. If you manage to find the code for the genie spellbook you can use the same one for monks and thus they will have the same spells. You can even change the spells in that list if you know the codes for spells, they may be still on this topic somewhere or on the similar ones bad32ro created. With this short guide you can change all the abilities of creatures except spellcaster, bloodlust and others that require mana for creatures that don't have mana, I also think that you cannot make a shooter from any creature cos not all of them have ranged animation. About changing the creatures in town some of the other guys on the forum were pretty busy on that issue you may open a new topic to ask for your questions maybe some modder will help you out. Also they may give you the mod bad created that was full necro, the only exception was venom spawn, I don't have any of his mods only wanted to learn how to make my own :)[/quote]
