Upcoming Tournaments for ToH
So what kind of subtournament of ToH would you like to find yourself participating in? There is the Clans of Axeoth, which will be the longest running tournament lasting over a year, but we are looking to open up a smaller subtournament soon:
Addicts - Players who play the most games find themselves on the top.
Speedeamon - Fast paced tourney where 1 minute time limits are set per turn.
Heroes of War - Similar to the mammoth Heroes III subtourney Casualties of War (this one would be supported by several volunteers)
The Hero - Play any choice map with one hero only.
Call to Power - Tournament for lower ranked players with winners that get boosted in rank automatically.
Domination: Warlords - The easiest to set up, players play for shields in certain ranking ranges for prestige.
Which one would you prefer to see up soon? Post your opinion on this thread.

My thinking is not more then two for now until more activity comes. A good data transfer patch could really help this.
Personal choices, I would like to see the shields up for challenge in Warlords. That is a nice personal thing, and great to inspire some serious compettition.
A second for now.....not that lots of the tournys wouldn't be great, it's just I would like to see more people involved before there are several, is The Hero(dang I hate leaving off speeddemon). I like this tournament idea much better now because monsters can be heroless too.

Considering that many high ranking players only play lower ranks I would love to see Call to Power for all the new players. It seemed like last time there was one of these tournaments activity levels rose. Would be nice to see if it could do that for heroes 4.;-)

well I think that Call to power is a must have, that would encourage every footman & squire there to play, and to dedicate themselves more ...
and for the second one i have to say Hero or Casualties of War, even Warlords, so hard to decide ...
btw, I dunno what Casualties of War was like, I'm from the young generation, but it sounds nice

1. The Hero
2. Domination: Warlord
3. Call to Power
4. Speedeamon
5. Heroes of War
6. Addicts

I guess a good idea might be to open a new tournament :
"REcall to power" , where a higher rank is forced to accept the TOH map proposed by a lower-rank player (-1 rank), not the opposite, as i noticed that it used among the top players who dream one and only map/town/settings, in order to prove they deserve the rank.
Sometimes, I think that they lost long ago the pleasure to play the game, a kind of constipation.
I'm sorry if i'm totally wrong, but, unfortunately...
About the tournaments that could REALLY exist, my options are :

The hero
have a beautiful day

Would be fun to challange some top player and they would not be able to use there favorut map and alignment

Yeah teacher, i agree with you, could be a nice idea!
Otherwise i would play mostly for the Hero and heroes of war.

My vote goes to heroes of war, and the speed dameon tounrey both are great fun.
Warlords is a nice tourney, but I can't seeit spurring much if any activity. Not enough people are actively involved in warlords. I think thats a better tournament for when more activity..

The Hero please!
It seems to me that this one would help us 56k people to play. At least it would help speed up the game.
We are pretty sure the data transfer time is not going to be fixed right?

I haven't been around last seasons. What's Heroes of War ? A lot of people vote for it. Must be interesting. Could someone take his time and explain what is what to a noob here, please ?
If there'll be only 2 tourneys opened for now, one must be Call to Power IMHO.

Chudak: Casualties of War was a different tournament. Each player who registered got to 'buy' a hero and some troops. Then player's heroes were matched up and fought.
Ex: I picked Gurnisson with a magic arrow scroll, 2 behemoths, and 3 diamond golems. I faced a Solymr hero with a titan and 5-6 obsidian gargoyles. I ended up losing because my Gurnisson didn't come with a ballista. (sigh)
The coordinators email the map with the heroes to the players and then they fight. Both players had to send in saves after the fight to show who won and what skill they selected, because they were lvl 1 heroes the winner always gained a level, for the next round.

The Hero and Call to Power sound good.
It is a good thing to start tournaments to make dynamism the game.
The clans are interesting but we miss a "solo" tournament.
