....if a vet is fired by some whining noobies playn the guitarm.....

... if your opponent says he lost connection before he ended his turn but it took 2 mins for you to see it and he has the autosave of the turn he never ended.

Having the sword icon (when attacking) change to a walking icon nanoseconds before you click the mouse button.
I remember having a few skeletons left over with initiative against a CPU hyrda with 3 health left. In my fervor to complete the kill, I swear I had the sword icon pointing right at it, when it changed to a pair of wings, and my skellies calmly walked over right next to the hyrda, all but ensuring their doom. The pain was temporary, but the memory lasts forever.

the absolutely most annoying thing is spelled: morale - i dont think anything so "small" has messed up so many fights.
other things are:
- when allie helps you out by buying native hero in your town day 1... then forgets to move it.
- when you ask your allie for some resources/lots of cash for a lvl 7 dwell/castle day 7 and you see an opponent go "woohooo" and is thankful to your allie for all the resources he got.
- when you kick off to a good start and your allie takes a stupid fight and dies (meaning: doing an suicide888  ).
- when you calculate that you really need 1000 gold extra in day 7 turn for lvl 7 creature dwell and is going to hit a watermill, 2 gardens and a chest.... only for the watermill to give you 500 cash, the gardens 5 gems each and the chest off course consists of a eagle eye artifact...
there are plenty to mention...

-when you teleport one step away from inside the castle walls (well i was really tired so i didn't notice anyways wasted a spell and he slowed all my creatures and well crapy battle after that)
- when you try to get need gold and from the exitment when you find a treasure chest, you open it, and press on the gold icon and then on yes, and then you were so freaken tired you pressed on the expirience instead and it was, your stupid scouting heroe, for quick resource collection (not fighting).
BTW isn't this thread suposed to be in the lands of axeoth?

try a game online and youll learn how waiting for turns feels... the more actives the merrier
and this is for heroes 3, not heroes 4 lol
EDIT: oh and shiastro, if you think that is bad play a game online with no h/r rule and see your top lvl units get imploded and then the opponent runs. Then that magic arrow doesnt feel so annoying anymore

when u forget FIRST to buy alamar in tavern and second to flee with ur main.... he appears ALLREADY in the slot, alamar has waiting for u....

Its damn annoying to have a kick ass start on a fast map like sandblast with as random artifact bonus the speed necklace, castle with Tyris alamar on the side, a 2 cyclopskings refugeecamp only to realize your damned oponent set the map at ROE and now there are combo arties pre-assembled!@
Ofcourse when u restart he gets the good stuff.  grrrr

Well, if you're playing WoG, eagle eye can be a good spell, at least on early levels

Eagle eye is no spell, but if itīs good only early, why would you pick it? It wastes a skill choice! You could possibly miss getting Logistics or another good skill.

...when you prepare your chainning tactic with surgeon precision and when the time comes you see that your heroes can't reach oneanother cos the army you brought from the castle is slow and you made your chain with fast scouts that could move more.

You run out of movement trying to reach an unguarded relic when an opponent/ally comes in and takes it on their turn.
You think you can afford to get that expensive creature dwelling when suddenly a scripted event takes away the resources you needed.
Your opponent manages to get Solmyr on a small map.
Week of the plague strikes and you couldn't afford to buy many of the creatures anyway.
An AI game where the opponent digs up the grail early.
One movement point short of boarding the boat off an island.
An opponent leaves that one hero you want DEAD on top of a sanctuary.
Your opponent's plus 1 Morale/Luck yields way more than your plus 3 does.
Your opponent's Dread Knights and Mighty Gorgons score more special attacks than yours do.
A Dragon Utopia yields cool combo artifacts when you're days away from winning.
Having a really rotten-attitude player beat you.
