Special heroes

I collect the screenshots of the heroes in HOMM3, but I haven't got Lord Haart and Boragus yet. Could anyone help me how to get them?
I mean, what should I do to possess them in a scenario. Can the scenarios of the original campaigns be edited? Or is there a way to find them in the editor?
I've seen their biography on some homepage, so I think there must be a way.

go in the map editor, propreties, then heroes. There you can enable the special heroes, and you can place them in one of your maps

the scenarios can be edited but you have to extract the files from h3bitmap.lod or h3sprite.lod. after you edit them you ca either insert them back or place them in data folder

To fiddle with campaigns, go to the Map Editor, and go to Open a file. Then, find the dropdown that says Heroes 3 Maps Files (*.h3m), and choose All Files. This will show a file called campaign.tmp. If you load this file, the most recent campaign level you've played will be open in the Editor.

I've never tried editing and saving these levels, just because I'm unsure as to what would happen.

Saving the changes will not lead to the scenario being changed in the campaign. However, there will be a new map in the map folder with the changes and it can be played as a non-campaign scenario.

Hi, and thanks everybody for the advices! BUT there are some problems. I've found where can I enable the special heroes for my map (map specification/heroes), but it's not complete. Some heroes aren't in the list (for example Ordwald). I'm lucky to have them already.
Otherwise I've tried the "campaign.tmp method" but I always get the same map. What could be the problem?

P.S. I've finished SoD at the weekend and on the last scenario of the Scepter of Power I could by KILGOR and later BORAGUS. I think all campaign heroes can be bought in that scenario, if they are in the list of the editor.

I've made the COMPLETE list. If you want to know about them ALL (not only the "editor heroes"), see the thread:
All special heroes' classes and specialties in Roe, AB and SoD.
