how to import map?
Hi , new on this site. Haven't imported new maps into HOMM3 yet.
I tried just copy-pasting into map folder. The map doesn't show up when i choose new game. What am I forgetting?

Sounds correct. If they do not show up, check that they have the correct version (i.e. they are not SoD maps if you have only ROE) and that they really are maps (have extension .h3m)

did both , still doesn't work. (I have only RoE)
do i have to import the text file too , or update the game anywhere?

Patching does never hurt, but it should not be the key in your problem. Text fail is not necessary for running the map either. Can you open the map in editor and have you tried more than 1 map? Maybe the particular map is buggy.

Be sure, that more than one player can be human if you want to play a Mutiplayer map. That often happened to me. When only one player can be human the map can only be choosen in single scenarios but not in muti-player games.
