How to play with ... Life

Move my topic to the "strategy" thread if you wish to, not sure where it is more appropriate.

What I have long been missed here, is a somewhat detailed strategy guide for each alignments, of course, for multiplayer, ToH games.

Yes, I know that it is highly map-dependant, but still there are some basics which alignments, also some good hero combos for the endfight, end fight line-ups, etc.

Now laugh at me, but I have no clue how to play with Life.
OK, I know, death has vampires as map cleaner, order has genies, nature has water elementals (even better things which I do not know of), might has super barbs and with chaos medusae + nighmares just good.

But what of life? OK, they are tough. OK, they have cool unit. But at the beginning, some killer unit would be good, for I find it hard to play with low losses. Also, some level 2-3 guards which are easy with super units like Nightmare/Genie/Vampire/Barb can be impossible for Life. Can someone enlighten me?

Well that's easy csarmi just build angels

No really i can understand vampires and genies, but water elementals and medusae?

You cannot always go for Angels. Also, by the time you can build level 4's, your problems are usually solved. Until then, I should sit home or what?

Yes I know I can buy an Archer. So lane.

Also of Angels - having just defeated an entire enemy army with 5 champions (even I was on town defense) only, I hesitate to choose them. They do insanely much damage if they can charge (Tactics+Good magic use).

WE's cast quicksand and slow, shhoters + sprites decimate enemy army without losses.

Medusae are deadly, Nightmares cast terror.

I usually like erfrettis better cose of the movement.Sure terror is great but really slowing down.
Ok man that's your strategy notting to say...But do u really buy water elementals? EVER? notting is slower then that...
Probably last time i say it but THAT'S H3 PLAYNG.Get over it ..

Yup I also like Efreeti for the movement. Waters are slow, yes, that is one of the reasons I do not really like to play them.

Same problem with Medusae, I like other tricks too, but feel free to add. Map killer? Still no one.

Heroes 3 thinking?

i dont like efreeti cause they have a moustache and wear very big trousers, i think theyd look better with shaved head and less fire on their balls area

you're fighting monsters blueie, not maps
so creatures present must be judged in order to choose an option

Small maps get Ballistas, on Larger Maps get Pikemen.

well once you get going well you wont have L2s in main army anyway, so it's only temporary.  early on ballistas are much better against neutrals.  so maybe if map is poor, you go ballistas?

early stable and adv hero to your secondary hero and you re clean in half maps(that dont have stable outside or too near town)

aslo , if you intend to use monks in final stages(neutral areas rumble) may be good to build champions(if terrains isnt 'rough' at majority of map)

life build archer too so cant be that bad - angel.archer, priest for 2ndary - usual pattern

concrete question

How to start? This is a concrete map now, Eldorado, anyways. I got a level 1 Priest as starting hero. I shall buy another one. Will it be a Knight? I also have the "Bless", "Holy Word" and "Spiritual Armor" spells in the town. Monsters around me are:

Band of Magi, Dozens of Halflings (mercury)
Band of Ghosst, Dozens of Mummies (crystal)
Dozens of Harpies (gem)
Band of Medusae, Dozens of Troglodytes (sulfur)
Dozens of Fires (defense)
Dozens of Pikemen (tree)
Several Cyclopes (oracle)
Company of Leprechauns (free primary non-magic)
3*Scores of Bandits, Hideout
Magic Forest, Mystical Garden, Dwarf Mine, Harpy Nest
4 genies
4*28 magi (garden of revelation)
some other level 1's

+ 20 Water, 20 Fire, 25 Air (road to the second city)

On the map, I have a Pikeman and a Crusader building

I have 63 Squires and 48 Crossbowmen for starting, I can build level 2 dwelling.

3 life magic, 1 order magic, 1 scouting, 1 combat altar waiting for me.

My real problem is - which monsteres can I defeat, on what price, and how. Which are the harder for me, which are the easier.

Also interested in normal hero build patterns? If you build a magic hero, will you get Combat for him? Magic resistance?

As of Champions vs Angels, well I don't know, but used well, Champions do a lot of damage. Much more than Angels and they also have first strike. Of course, you have to be able to charge.

cause you alrdy walk at 19/24 so champs 25/30 wont hurt you.

also i think champions as better to angels as a unit(strike/charge) but cant stand alone, without shooting power to assist. angels can wack heroes cause they have wings, champs dont fly
