Luck,or Morale?

I've been having a nasty problem as of now.I've been getting luck artifacts,I've been getting morale artifacts, and thats about all I'm getting! The nasty problem is,which should I use?!?And what exactly do luck and morale do?(Seeing as I have never read the manual)

Thanks in advance

Morale lets you go first.

Luck reduces the damage from enemies.

morale also gives you 25% extra damage (or was it 20%?)

good luck gives you 50% extra defense, you take only 2/3 of the damage. So luck is twice as strong as stoneskin and spiritual armour.

bad morale makes you move last and your attack does something like 20% less damage.

if you have bad luck, you take 50% extra damage. From spells also.

I'm not sure whether good luck affected spells.

Wow, I didn't know that!

But are you sure that bad luck increases damage from spells? I seem to remember that even when I have the Fizbin of Misfortune, my spells make the same damage as when I don't....

I think Fizbin of Misfortune is in the list of buggy artifacts, like the artifacts that give you a mass blessing. If the enemy moves, the curse is gone (until he moves again, something like that).

If I had to choose between artifacts with luck or morale, I would go like this:
If I had a "mixed" army, and the morale is quite low, I would put on the morale artifact to increase that one.
If my morale was ok, I would go for luck artifact.

I dont understand..
The enemy gets max negative morale only at the start of each round? But not the punishment of negative morale?

Firstly, the Fizbin of Misfortune gives bad luck, not bad morale.

The mass blessing or mass curse of some artifacts, works ok when the battle starts. In the case of mass misfortune on the enemy: if one of the enemy's stacks doesn't choose "wait", "ranged attack", "cast spell" or "defend", but instead he starts walking toward you, then for mysterious reasons (that is, a bug) the effect is gone. It might come back next turn for even more mysterious reasons.
So, if you have dragon scale shield and you fight a horde of efreet, keep your units in their original position (to avoid effect of fire shield). If they stand next to you and you want to attack them, carefully find out what pointer angle to take so that you don't move...

Yep misfortune..

Okido & Thanx
that is a usefull tip!

BTW
In answer to the question;
I would choose Luck
Altho as some said here too, morale is sometimes as good (usefull) as luck or even better..

I would definitely go for morale; going first is a huge strategical advantage, especially for spellcasters.

Look no matter the effect, luck tends to be better.Logicly Undead can use luck too unlike morale.

The effects of morale 50% extra initiative but its is limited to 30 or 40% of attacks are affected by morale so if you make like 8 morale it will not help you much since it is limited to the 30%.

Same goes for luck. Some abilites likeeath wail from Banshee and hero skills could increase or decrease effect by the number of morale.Like if your morale is high, death wail will not have a great  effect but if it is low it deals more damage.

Skills like retributition increase attack of creatures by morale points and in empathy skill, each triggered morale effect will increase your hero ATB move forward and if negative 10% backwards.

I would recommend to take luck as it is handly to all factions in the game but rather use morale in factions with high initiative units and that need fast finishing like inferno. But for magic users it is rather better to use a combo of this.
I would preffer luck over morale if the enemy is not necropolis and morale over luck for agaisnt necropolis and tough magic or tough might users.
