OOC: Let it be well-known that the spider has a Thac0 of 10. Most of us have a positive armor class, so the spider only needs a roll of 4 to hit Sephiroth or an 7 to hit me. Vadskye has the best chance against the spider, because he has Splint Mail and 18 dexterity giving him an armor class of 0, so the spider can only hit him with a roll of 10. Also, the spider gets a extra attack every two turns. Therefore on average the spider will hit someone once every turn. With the queen spider, you get poisoned every time you are hit. Eventually someone is going to probably be slain, but we have Modo, a good cleric who can revive us. 
Maximus is going to cast Armor on himself and then fight the spider that way.
Round 4:
Mordikai takes two damage from poison and retreats. Maximus begins casting Armor on himself. Isildur attacks Queen Spider. Vadskye hides in Shadows and approaches Baby Spider. Sephiroth attacks Baby Spider. Modo casts Cure Medium Wounds on Mordikai. Queen Spider attacks Maximus. Baby Spider attacks Sephiroth.
Modo -> Mordikai: Cure Light Wounds - 9 damage points removed.
Queen Spider -> Maximus: Miss(4)
Isildur -> Queen Spider: Miss(10)
Sephiroth -> Baby Spider: Hit(13) - 10 damage.
Vadskye -> Baby Spider: Miss(4).
Maximus casts Armor on himself. AC is now 0.
Mordikai takes Poison Cure and attacks Queen Spider.
Baby Spider -> Sephiroth: Critical Hit(20) - 2 damage.
Queen Spider -> Maximus: Miss(4)
Sephiroth -> Baby Spider: Hit(12) - 6 damage.
End of Round.
Maximus: 13/13 HP
Mordikai: 13/15 HP
Isildur: 17/17 HP
Vadskye: 11/11 HP
Sephiroth: 10/18 HP

OOC: I was thinking I could cast Armor on someone else. It give a -3 bonus to armor class. We need this for melee combat against the spider. I was thinking Vadskye would be great for this. He already has an armor class of 0 and he would have -3 after. Then the spider would have to roll a 13 to hit him while having Sephiroth fighting the thing melee would be hit with only a roll of 4. That means Sephiroth would be hit more than 6 out of every 7 times, where as Vadskye with the armor protection would be hit every 2 out of 5 times. Much better odds for Vadskye however, he is vulnerable to the fatal critical hit with only 11 HP.

I will attack the queen. Since I do most damage and have better chances to hit there is no need to attack a baby spider that only does 2 points of damage per attack.
But I would like some healing from both clerics, after casting Armor on Vadskye, cast it on me, please.

Well the baby spider just happened to deal that much damage because it rolled a 1. It could have dealt 12 damage.

No. You roll a 20-sided die to determine whether or not they were hit. Then you roll again to see how much damage.
So let's say the baby spider attacked Sephiroth. You take the Thac0 (To Hit Armor Class Zero) and the armor class of Sephiroth. You subtract Sephiroths armor class from the spiders Thac0. That is the roll that the spider needs to hit Sephiroth.
Mathmatically:
Baby Spider Thac0 - Sephiroth Armor Class = Die Roll
Baby Spider Thac0 = 15
Sephiroth Armor Class = 6
Therefore
15 - 6 = 9
The baby spider needs to roll a 9 in order to hit Sephiroth.
So then you would roll a 20 sided die. Let's say you roll anywhere from 2 to 8. That would be a miss. Anywhere from 9 to 19 would be a hit. A roll of 20 always hits. A roll of 1 always misses. A roll of 20 is a critical hit and deals double damage. A roll of 1 is a critical miss and the attacker loses it's next turn.
Then after you have determined that you have hit. You roll damage dice. This means something like 1d6 or 2d4.
1d6 means you roll a 6-sided die. 2d4 means you roll two 4-sided dice.
Round 5:
Maximus retreats and casts Armor on Vadskye. Mordikai attacks spider discreetly (opposed to the normal way  ). Isildur continues to attack the queen spider with the Composite Longbow. Vadskye attacks Queen Spider. Sephiroth attacks Queen Spider. Modo begins casting Cure Light Wounds on Sephiroth. Queen Spider attacks Maximus. Baby Spider attacks Isildur.
Modo -> Sephiroth: Casts Cure Light Wounds - 8 points of damage removed.
Mordikai -> Queen Spider: Critical Hit(20) - 6 damage.
Queen Spider -> Maximus: Miss(10).
Baby Spider -> Isildur: Hit(16) - 3 damage. Isildur retaliates attacking Baby Spider with Melee Weapon.
Maximus -> Vadskye: Casts Armor - Vadskye now has an Armor Class of -3.
Isildur -> Baby Spider: Critical Hit(20) - 8 damage.
Vadskye -> Queen Spider: Hit(17) - 3 damage.
Sephiroth -> Queen Spider: Critical Hit(20) - 18 damage.
End of Round.
Maximus: 13/13 HP
Mordikai: 13/15 HP

Vadskye. Your Thac0 is too high. You need a roll of 18 or higher to hit the spider. That's 3 out of every 20 rolls or in other words 1 hit in every 6 or 7 attacks. However Sephiroth has a much lower Thac0. He can hit the Queen Spider with a roll of 14. That means 7 out of 20 rolls will be a hit for Sephiroth or in other words about 1 in every 3. He hits more than twice as often as you do. But that is because of his high strength and he has 3 stars of proficiency in the axe.
I apologize for dragging out the battle with the boss. I realize that it's become quite boring for many people including myself.
Round 10:
Sephiroth and Queen Spider get an additional attack this turn. Isildur and Vadskye take two damage from poison.
Maximus, Mordikai, Vadskye, and Sephiroth attack Queen Spider. Isildur attacks Giant Spider. Queen Spider still attacks Vadskye. Giant Spider attacks Isildur. Modo begins casting Cure Light Wounds on Isildur.
Eight Giant Spiders come out of the nest.
Sephiroth -> Queen Spider: Critical Miss(1) - Loss of next attack.
Isildur -> Giant Spider: Miss(8).
Giant Spider(1) -> Isildur: Miss(5).
Mordikai -> Giant Spider: Miss(2).
Maximus -> Hit(18) - 7 damage.
Queen Spider -> Vadskye: Miss(6).
Modo -> Isildur: Cure Light Wounds - 7 points of damage removed.

Party gains 5000 experience.

As the Queen Spider is dealt its death blow. It let's out a piercing cry. The Giant Spiders are stopped short from their mother's cry. A moment later, an explosion of fire erupts mysteriously from the ground beneath the Giant Spiders killing them all instantly. Isildur seemed to have got out of the way of the fire explosion just in time. Modo heals the party back to full health.

Ugh, that was much harder than i thought. Stupid spider, my arm still hurts from where he poisoned it. From now on, any battles with spiders im out.

While the heroes were finishing the youngsters of the giant spider, Mordikai stood upon a captive cocoon. Strange, but it was about ten times bigger than normal. It was somehow suspicious so he told about that to the party:
MORDIKAI: Lads, I’ve found something strange down there with this cocoon. It looks somehow “too live” for me.
VADSKYE: Yeah, I’ve found that really suspicious too. What do the others say?
MODO: Maybe we should check that.
SEPHIROTH: I agree with him.
VADSKYE: It’s done then. We should check.
Whole party, with Mordikai, Vadskye and Isildur in the front, started moving towards the web. Each time they moved further, cocoon started to somehow move. It was obvious that it was some sort of a captive which looked really scary now. They all picked their weapons and cut the slimy web from the captive.
Finally, when they’ve finished with that, they found an odd-looking captive. He was looking cadaverous, eyes were almost closed, but you could still see two blinking and sparkling, light blue eyes. Light brown hair almost covered its shoulders that were covered with some sort of fighter armor. Luckily, man was conscious so he could speak:
ISILDUR: By the will of the party, I ask who and from where are you?
STRANGER: I’m Roin Pellagasth, son of Pellagasth the Great, used to be known as Raddagasth once. I was a famous legionnaire in local army to guard the east of Fretsmar, the Forgotten Country.
VADSKYE: Now that we know who you are and where do you reside, we can ask you more, right?
STRANGER: Yes, you can.
VADSKYE: Good. Then please say what are you doing here, who are you working for and are you fighting for the light or dark forces.
STRANGER: Calm down. I’ll answer your questions, but let me catch my breath *coughs*. I was once legionnaire in Fretsmar’s army. I was sent here to kill the spider, but I didn’t know that the spider had youngsters. They found and captured me. Even my ability to become insubstantial for two rounds because of the medallion I carry *mounts at the medallion*. I was slightly stuck in the cocoon, but I got luckily freed by you guys.
MORDIKAI: And…
STRANGER: And I’m working for light forces if you wanna know. By the way, I owe you my life, so I solemnly swear to be your friend and the member of your party.
ISILDUR: Whoa, whoa, whoa… Wait a minute. We gotta decide what to do *murmurs with party members for a moment* Now that we’ve decided, we are pleased to accept your life-debt. Feel free to join our forces against the greater evil.
[stranger Pellagasth has joined the party. He becomes a full party member]
Now that everything’s done with the newly discovered friend who is still looking suspicious they can finish the spiders.
MODO: Maybe we should split up.
SEPHIROTH: I agree. Still, we shouldn’t leave Pellagasth alone. He’s hurt.
Pellagasth asks whether he can say a word. Something he can share with
PELLAGASTH: Because I see that you agreed me to join you, I have to give you something.
(party gains 100 experience).
Pellagasth puts down his backpack and takes a few things.
PELLAGASTH: Here, take this. I do not know who has the highest rank, so I give one to all of you (gives each member of the party a bottle of rum and some bread). Sorry, but I don’t have any good weapons, so I cannot give you them. Still, I have some gold here. (party receives 200 gold, 45 experience). Now, we have to continue our journey of killing spiders.
Party continues its journey with a new member who has swore them a life-debt, because he owes them his life.

Pellagasth: "Huh? What do you mean?"
Vadskye: "Well, here is your watch, and your ring, and your sword hilt, and your armor, and your hat, and your..."
Pellagasth: *slumps over in a dead faint*
Vadskye: "...and your shoelaces, and your-- what happened?"
Maximus: "Vadskye, you twit, you showed off too much. Now we're going to have to stop for a while to revive him."
Vadskye: "Sorry, sorry, sorry, I'll help. Does this mean I get to keep all this stuff?"
Maximus: "NO."
