Poetry, poetry, poetry...

Hello to all. I've figured out that it would be pretty cool if everybody would create something poethical. It could rhyme with anything: life, death, bible, *** and everything else you want. You could even write a poem about heroes 3 and 4.

I think I'll post some of mine ones afterwards.

Compelling Work To Start The Berk

Of all the things I'd like to say
I can't for the life of me speak today
I usually have a lot to say
Especially on what others may
But not today try as I might
Give one penny's worth of thought
Or shed one ray of light
More so than often and as often for naught
I'm sorry if I've lost my thought
But there really was nothing to discuss
At last I'm afraid I must leave without a fuss
I really have to catch the bus
Good day to you madam or sir
Throw your poems and cause a stir

Cats Like Soda Pop

Most people think cats drink milk or water
I happen to think that's a good starter
But what some people don't actually know
Is that a cat drinks soda pop and likes to blow
It out of his nose and on to the screen
It's really quite a spectacle if seen
First you'll see him lick the cup
And then you'll see him run a muck
He'll dance and spin on the keyboard
While rubbing his nose before he snorts
But once he does he's very happy
After spraying your screen he'll want some.....

One Free Spirit For One Free Day

Women and kids and pets and play
Work and sweat and toil all day
I need a moment or two to say
Just what life is in a wondrous way

Decisions and compliments and insults at bay
My strength and dignity and shame on display
Mostly my love on my sleeve today
But not to ignore my pain anyway

Loathing and longing for an inch of dismay
None but my eyes shall rue the day
All I ask is all I say
To be one free spirit for one free day

Rhymes without sense.

My cat was always afraid of our dog,
It didn't like nor rain nor this fog.
Our friend was always alergic to cats,
So he often had on the nose three new hats.
One time, when he had his fiancee with him,
He invited her to the cafe "Raheem".
She refused and just said "Geroff, you crackpot"
She got combined her hair with tea hot.
And when shel left him she saw our cat
Which wore her fiancee's old rusty hat.

I've Met a New Community

From on the go and fast typed keys
I'd like to order a heart attack please
Give me some fries and shake to go
Through driving rain and blowing snow
I search the web for portraits and faces
Millions of people in millions of places
I couldn't find any pics to download for free
I found Tournament of Honor that was new to me
Online gamers that battle with clout?
Ego central, Hall Of Shame, no doubt
Here's a link to Valeriy's house
My first time here quiet as a mouse
Soon I saw people buzzing like bees
The hustle and bustle of wind in the trees
To be a member or not to be
I've met a new community

My Tavern Is The Place To Be

After work permission to spend
Some hard-earned gold and silver blend
Some come early and others fashionably late
I'll be there after feeding the horse mate
Entering in through smoke and beer
The bard or jester or whatever he jeers
Toss him a penny but not before laughing
Make the bloke work without girls a dancing
The keep wipes clean the glasses and stools
He's the only one sober surrounded by fools
Tell us a story and sit back with your ale
Keep to your chair else you fall in the pail
The hour draws late and the laughs all but gone
Pick up your tab and take to the lawn
Next weekend I'll return with glee
My tavern is the place to be

Model Myself To Paint A Tree

An oak of considerable size and grace
It's branches wide in a leafy place
Strength in numbers to eat the sun
Lively, tall, absorbed in one
Some shade here and a few spots there
This artful gaze, a heartfelt stare
Under the tree I'll pose for thought
A waterfall's reflection I sought
On to the canvas with rightful ease
I painted with a masterful breeze
Lo and behold a beautiful rendition
A likely twist of gleeful submission
All that I am and all that was tree
Became ever so mingled in my mind's eye you see
What a golden opportunity
To model myself to paint a tree

Rapture of Hood and Body of Life

Young man is walking, his friend has dice
The two of kindred for a few days thrice
Brought together with purpose and pride
Both of them there to care their hides
To and fro on orders of go
Do not let fear take you so
I'll be here with you my friend
Twas always thus and thus will end
If perhaps we cannot meet
At the river's edge with sullied feet
Cry not for me nor my circumstance
In light of god could be my chance
Laugh for me and think on this
When all is dark look not to the abyss
Remember me then when you are happy
No more or less as I would gabby
Loving is our friendship thing
To be without, a heartful sting
It's men, they say, and all is strife
Rapture of hood and body of life

Company Lumpany Jumpany

Company lumpany jumpany
Wow, lots of international people company
I disagree with you lumpany
New topics to make me jumpany
On top of that
I'd shake the cat
If it would make you agree me
But even so
I've learned how low
My words can cause a lumpany
Quick to judge
and short of wit
But afterwards I want to quit
But I can't resist the company
Good company here bad comany there
The last of the lumpany to make me jumpany
An overall feeling of acute beware
And last but not least
Let's all have a feast
In good company
With no lumpany
That makes us all go jumpany
Company lumpany jumpany

Spider Poems

These poems were written by a friend of mine named, Bruce.

Spider, spider on the ceiling
Please don't walk where the paint is peeling
For if it breaks and you fall on me
I will simply scream and pee

Spider be nimbel, spider be quick
But the spider's not faster than my stick

Spider, spider in the corner
Crawling all over little Jack Horner
You made him holler, you made him yell
So his mother came and beat him all to hell

Spider, spider on the wall
I'm going to smack you down the hall
And when you fall and hit the floor
I'm going to smack you a whole lot more

Spider, spider in the car
You think you're travelling oh so far
But when I catch a glimpse of you
I'm gonna smush you into goo

Spider, spider full of grace
Hanging down in an open place
When you decide to hit the floor
I'll make sure you walk no more

Spider body and spider legs
Guarding that clutch of eggs
I'll get the torch and aim at you
And then I'll burn you through and through

Spider web in the grass
Coming out of a spider's ***
You look so shiny in the morning dew
Until I stomp you with my shoe

Here are two I wrote

The Single White

A single white rose can do more than any word.
A sign of love and friendship.
An expression so dear and true.
It is sending me love from you.
A dimond ring can never say,
more than a single white rose.

A single white rose can say many things.
A simple I love you.
My feelings are true.
Please don't be blue.
I am here for you.
I am always near.
Have no fear.
Many words for a single white rose.

A valentines wish.
Not even a kiss.
To show you how much I miss you.
All I need is a single white rose.

Heart To Heal

The pain in my heart fills me with sadness.
Thoughts of you once brought me gladness.
The emptiness overwhelms me, and the darkness sets in.
Once happy and joyful, now full of torment.
My heart has became a pile of tin that is full of rust.
Thoughts linger of a love I once shared, but now memories remain.
A heart that is solid ice, is there any way for it to be warmed with love again?
Tears roll down my face and my heart begins to race.
Please let there be someone willing to help this heart heal.

Dreams, turn to nightmares full of fear and loneliness.
Loss of words and emotion, pain begins to set in.
Feeling hopeless, and unwanted is there any hope for a broken heart?
Reach for someone to pull me out of this darkness.
Knowing it is hopeless, why would someone save a broken heart like me?
Beads of sweat form, and panic and fear sets in.
Please let there be someone willing to help this heart heal.

A warm voice echos out of the darkness.
Fear and worry is all around, is it true could it be?
Someone here to rescue me for this cold and lonesome place?
A warm touch upon my shoulders, a soothing voice.
The soft whisper, don’t be afraid, I love you my dear.
A single tear rolls down my cheek, finally someone to love me for me.
Prayers answered, dreams coming true.
Someone is out there willing to help this heart heal.

Arrow To The Sun

by Gerald McDermott:

Long ago the Sun God sent the ray of life to earth and in the house of a young maiden. The ray of life was a boy. He lived and played with the maiden, but the other boys would not let him play with them because he didn't have a dad. The boy and his mom were sad. So he went to find his dad, finally he did. He left the maiden to go live on the sun. That's where he is now.

This may not look like a poem but I found it to be just as moving as any poetry. It speaks volumes to me, especially if you see the pictures in the book. I believe it is an old Pueblo indian tale.

--------------------------------------------

KittenAngel,

Thankyou for putting your heart on your sleeve. It takes courage to open up to the outside world.

Remember that about yourself when you sit in uncertainty
You have it, I see it, let it go and set yourself free
through your own poems and lively glee
Tell them all the tale of your ball
Let the waltz begin and walk with us then
But always let us be free
Tears may stroll
Others may cajole
In the wake of your words
Let us fly like the birds
But always let us be free

Fire and fall

When you're sitting at home,
Next to fire by side
You may see shining ashes
With flame spires behind.

You may write a new poem
Or smoke, or drink wine
Next to fireplace heat
And to sofas relined.

Like a kitten or dog
Comes and sits by the fire
Just smell the fall's fog
Without stepping in mire.

And my poem ends here
About fire and fall
So I wish you "Good luck"
And "Be happy" to all.

Let Us Start With This Girl

Passion is a response for me
I don't always have it sometimes you see
I let and look and roam about
I see something here and nothing but stout
A walk it is from the street through the park
All the faces still out after dark
Nothing at all out under the sky
Except a few lovers as I pass by

Sure they have it great with their kissing and hugging
But where is my passion
Alone in loathing

During the day is where it all happens
A fountain of youth and life in the commons
So many people to walk by and greet
So many faces to inspire as you meet
Let yourself go and feel what they feel
Let yourself dream and wander the field
At last back to life and a day of regret
All of the dreams are gone better yet

I want to return and live with them there
Alone with beauty
The wind in my hair

More people in the entire world
Than I know how to meet
Let us start with this girl

Lifeless and Cold...

Took a walk down my life today
Broken and empty roads are paved with regrets and guilt I have made
Crushing what bits of hope remain
Do you want to believe what I believe?
I don't remember how to eat, sleep or breathe
Trapped inside this state of decay
You can't tell me that I don't want to stay
I know my pain...burn the faces beyond

Kill me long before I wake
Take me to my sleep I wait
Stifle my breath with every scream
I don't know when I lost my dreams
All my hopes, all my desires now extinguished in my wills fire.
It is gone and I no longer care
Come with me and some hate I'll share

You see no pain in my eyes, that is just my clever disguise
I will not cry to you,
You will not see the truth
Took a walk down my life today
Broken and empty roads are paved with the regrets and guilt I have made
crushing what bits of hope remain
Do you want to believe what I believe?
I don't remember how to eat sleep or breathe
Trapped inside this state of decay
You can't tell me that I don't want to stay
Suffering...lifeless age....face the pain...life's sweet suffering

Somber Angel

Sworn I would not return here
Now that has proved untrue
I don't know why?
I hold this deep inside me and I'll let no one through
Defy me...deny me...I need you to end this
I look to myself to see and the years have grown so long
Am I weak and now I feel pulverized
Consequences I reap by myself
Those of you who don't know what I see...
endless fight for my beliefs
I am alone here

Here's the place where I take my stand
I'll not be held down again
Broken no longer with no regrets, I am my own
Once you would watch me cry but never would you intervene
Now it's my turn to be free from all this pain
You cannot pretend to like what I am
You cannot change the past...do not even care
You won't ever take me, You cannot see, break me
And if you are ever lost...in our emotion

I look to myself to see and the years have grown so long.
Am I weak and am I alone
I lost myself
You didn't want to help me through this pain
Now I am lost inside
Try to crush m soul and now I feel pulverized
Consequences I reap by myself
Those of you who don't know what I see...
endless fight for my beliefs
I am alone here

Here's the place where I take my stand
I'll not be held down agin
Broken no longer with no regrets
I am my own
Once you would watch me cry but never would you intervene
Now it's my turn to be free from all the pain
You cannot pretend to like what I am
You cannot chang the past...do not even care
You won;t ever take me, You cannot see, break me
And if you are ever lost..in our emotion

I now see what what I am
Can it be life sustained?
My reality.. my life clear of repression
I can't believe what is taken from my eyes..
my eyes..but my blood knows
My life, what I was born of
To suffer agonizing way..to live it heart full of fear
The pain, wake me for the day...I die
Look into you, bring me the answers to my life
Now I can see what has begun
Nothing's forever, our life is done
I've taken with me all that you have given
Nothing if for you
Wander on my reality... my life clear of repression
I can't believe taken from my eyes...
my eyes.. but my blood knows
My life what I was born of
To suffer agonizing way.. to live it heart full of fear
The pain, wake me for the day...I die.

Our Deadworld...

Drowning yourself in a world of lies
Wandering lost, until the ego dies
Perceptions been tainted by your lack of free will
We have become what we once most feared

The brilliance of the light's been dulled to grey
Denying our souls of the most noble truths
Trapped within and blined by youth

We must end this wicked game
Mourning a dead world ...
Empty life of relentless shame
Mourning a dead world ...
See through what's been taught to you
Mourning a dead world ...
Breathe in life and seek the truth
Mourning a dead world ...

As progress paves the forest and paints the sky
Cities rise like caner, rive of life is dry
Spirits of ancients will then awake a rise
The seal is broken, final sign of our demise

We must end this wicked game
Mourning a dead world ...
Empty life of relentless shame
Mourning a dead world ...
See through what's been taught to you
Mourning a dead world ...
Breathe in life and seek the truth
Mourning a dead world...

Awake and rise ...
Redemption fires ...
Burn the lies ...
Redemption fires ...

Those Are They That Define What You've Seen

Those Are They That Define What You've Seen

In all of the world and all of the sea
In my mind's eye to be
Events of tomorrow and today
Lastly of old and nothing to say
Glimmering eyes whose touch burns my soul
She makes me feel older than old
The youth of life in her eyes to be
From the beholder's eye my mind doth see
Out of existence and into my dreams
Lost in the eyes or so it seems
Madness to burden if not myself
I've left behind reason and strength and wealth
It's times like this that I have nothing to say
I look at her eyes and fade away
Nothing to swoon nor a muscle to move
All that is godly commands me behoove
At last I look up from the page that I saw
I look at the clock, feel my heart, love is law
How long have I sat and looked at her eyes
It does not matter when I fly through the sky
Back to my life and the things I do daily
It lasted on me and reminded me plainly
Look for the people who make you dream
Those are they that define what you've seen

Peanut Butter Sandwich

Peanut Butter Sandwich

I'll sing you a story of a silly young king
Who played with the world at the end of a string.
But he only loved one single thing --
And that was just a peanut butter sandwich.
His sceptre, wand, his royal gowns,
His regal throne and golden crowns
Were brown and sticky from the mounds
And drippings from each peanut butter sandwich.
His subjects all were silly fools
For he had passed a royal rule
That all that they could learn in school
Was how to make a peanut-butter sandwich.
He would not eat his sovereign steak,
He scorned his soup and kingly cake,
And told his courtly cook to bake
An extra-sticky peanut butter sandwich.
And then one day he took a bite
And started chewing with delight,
But found his mouth was stuck quite tight
From that last bite of peanut butter sandwich.
His brother pulled, his sister pried,
The wizard pushed, his mother cried,
"My boy's committed suicide
From eating his last peanut butter sandwich!"
The dentist came, and the royal doc.
The royal plumber banged and knocked,
But still those jaws stayed tightly locked.
Oh darn that sticky peanut butter sandwich!
The carpenter, he tried with pliers,
The telephone man tried with wires,
The firemen, they tried with fire,
But couldn't melt that peanut butter sandwich.
With ropes and pulleys, drills and coil,
With steam and lubricating oil --
For twenty years of tears and toil --
They fought that awful peanut butter sandwich.
Then all his royal subjects came.
They hooked his jaws with grapplin' chains
And pulled both ways with might and main
Against that stubborn peanut butter sandwich.
Each man and woman, girl and boy
Put down their ploughs and pots and toys
And pulled until, kerack! Oh, joy --
They broke right through that peanut butter sandwich.
A puff of dust, a screech, a squeak --
The king's jaw opened with a creak.
And then in voice so faint and weak --
The first words that they heard him speak
Were, "How about a peanut butter sandwich?"

Free Fall...

Mirror Mirror
How far will I go?
Despite the foundation
I'm falling
Sweet reflection
Will you save a place for me ?

Where am I heading ?
Could you grant me a heaven ?
For what?
I am punished, could we ever repent?

Mother nature I'm wide open
Waiting for you to move me

Don't keep it from me
This is the free fall...
This is the free fall...

I never seem to understand
The time, the place and who I am
Define a way to stay alive
It's like I'm living a lie

Father time
Every time every time I stop and feel
You're there to tell me
I'm already late

Don't keep it from me
This is a free fall...

for an ancient soul I feel I have known

For an ancient soul I feel I have known through many lifetimes

There Was a Young Girl

Once, long ago,
In a place far away
There was a young girl
Who watched you cry that day,

When you stood all alone
Before a cruel crowd.
They showed you no mercy
As your tears freely flowed.

She knew of your pain.
Though you did not know
As she sat there among them,
She hated them so.

You never saw her
For she bowed her head
As her eyes filled with tears
They saw you instead.

She wanted to help –
She wanted to stand,
To walk over to you
And take hold of your hand.

But frozen in horror
As they taunted and teased,
She felt such a fear
The pain has never eased.

The girl now a woman,
The years all passed by,
Wonders still where you are;
Wonders if you still cry.

And now lifetimes later
After so many years,
To this day she remembers
And her eyes fill with tears.

She never forgot you
So alone there that day,
More than anyone ever.
She still longs to say –

That she was there with you
Though silently so…
She felt your pain too
And she wants you to know

How she quietly loved you
But so feared the display
To reach out and touch you
And be laughed at that day.

So she left you alone
In the shame of her fear,
And ached from a distance
As you endured it, my dear.

Looking back on it now,
You must surely see
The young girl there in spirit. . .
And that girl was me.
