The Concoctor uses "Alchemy Fire" as a Potion(weapon)
Besides, wasn't the Cannon enough?
I used "Alchemist Town" as a familier name. This is actually a Science-like town.

I preferred the catapult throwing the Alchemists Fire. Makes more sense from a battle perspective.
The concoctors I envisioned threw potions that had random negative effects as well as doing archery damage. Kind of like the evil eyes from H4.

btw, what's Coloidal Guardian?

i would rather expect alchemical fire represented by something like salamander or phoenix, not tar.
alchemy, as far as i understand, is purification of one's soul by concentrating on hard work to achieve emotional balance. dirty things like tar might not be a good symbol again.
a cucumber is not a good proposal, but would be better than tar imho.
it should be a symbol of something like perfect philosopher's stone after all. and that should be a hell of a pure thing.

Gerdash, I think Coloidal Guardian (in my opinion) is just a harder way to say Colossus. Am I right, Styq?

The reason I don't have any such creatures such as Salamnder in my proposed line-up is because I thought the alchemy town should represent Human achievement and crafts.
They are practical wizards who use their magical knowledge for practical purposes and not for knowledge's sake.

The Colloidol Guardian is a creature that you encounter at the end of M&M9. It basically looks like a large troll made from slime.

so this "coloidal guardian" is actually a colloidal guardian that corresponds to a colloid solution or a colloid suspension or just colloid that is a name for a disperse solution where the particles are small enough so that they pose a relatively weak obstacle for beams of light, so that the solution only appears half-translucent and it also has a special property that at the border of light and shadow some rainbow colors should appear on the opposite side, i.e. after the light has passed the solution (a chemist talking here).

so, i see that the town should rather be called chemical town or scientific town perhaps. the same old temptation. hmm.. what would i really call it.. inventor's town?
or maybe not, looking at some suggested creatures. anyway, i might suggest having alchemical fire in an alchemy town, maybe e.g. as a blessing spell.
and, maybe dwarves would fit well into the town.
btw all i suggested was in context of 'maybe.'

If anyone is still interested, this is the picture of colloidal guardians. It's a bit small, but it's the best I could find. It's a picture from one of the last dungeons of Might and Magic IX (which in my opinion was not as bad as many people say it is).
By the way, Regnus Khan. In case you seriously did not know (which seems unlikely, but you never know). "LOL" is an acronym. It means: "Laugh out loud" and it's the standard abbreviation used when responding to something you thought was funny.
