Oh I just edited your post to bring the thread back to page 1. Sticky threads don't stay on the first page. They just stay at the top of the page at which they are on. So I have to bring them back to page one every once in a while.

well first I'd like to say thumbs up to redsox for making the thread - i think its a very positive thing for a mod to be actively looking for ways to improve the forum.
second thumbs up goes to him for giving the tosser's tavern the attention it deserves - the place rocks 
thumbs down for bullying madmartigan! Madmartigan is a cool dude, and should be treated as such! all should respect the guy from willow 
also to people quick and happy to bash Sir_Stiven - i think maybe if you stopped yipping long enough to read what he's saying you would understand that what he wants is for the community to be the best it can be. And that's a good thing.
The is an undeniable tendancy around here to react to posts based on the name of the poster rather than what they're saying - that would be my only complaint about the community as it is now. Can I offer any real way to correct this problem? Not really... I can just suggest to members that they read with open minds - and think before they post a reply.
I bet we'd see a lot less spam if some people (no names needed) would stop and think before they hit the reply button.

I already understand that Sir_Stiven has good intentions. That's why I like him. However I have stated how occasionally he isn't diplomatic. I like MadMartigan, too. He is also a funny member, however needs to be more diplomatic about things sometimes as well. I fail to see why everyone thinks that I hate them.
I'm simply trying to enforce the Code of Conduct and ensure that arguements don't get out of hand. I remember a couple years ago posting here where every arguement turned into a flame war. I am simply trying to avoid this.
I apologize if this upsets anyone and am willing to discuss anything... diplomatically. My eyes and ears are open to anyone who calmly makes their points. When I start seeing spam, tosses, and insults, I figure the person is just upset or doesn't really care about what they are saying and most often times, this is when things don't come out the way it was intended.

As for the -qp I got, I do think that I did not deserve it. But I will not make a fuss about it. I got some more flood protect. So what? I already had -3, one more does not affect me that much. 
What I am irritated is: this specific mod claims that he is trying to CoC with all his fairness. I will not discuss his reason/s to give me -qp. He might think that I was out of the line. And some could agree with him, some may not. But, if he gave me a -qp for that, he, then, must explore all the threads in the past and penalize all such posts. He must apply the CoC as accurate as he did in my case. It is my belief that this specific mod tolarets posts/spam that are flexibly and arguably against CoC in some cases because he is a friend of the poster/spammer, but, he is so sensible and accurate with another case which is not very different.
In a former thread, the friend of this mod post spam and gibberish; I served my opinion mixed with a toss-salad (). My post goes to the trash can, the spam remains. Now, how can you claim that he is fair? (ps: do not get me wrong. I am not trying to put the stress on the action of the deletion of my post/toss. I am trying to put the emphasis on the remaining of spam - with my inadequate English)

Request for this thread to be cleaned been taken into action. I deleted some more posts that I thought were off-topic.
Oh and I reconsidered the penalty I gave to MM and changed my mind. No one ever complained about the comment, including Gorman, so I will assume that in this case there was no harm done. I just don't want to see hostile arguements taking place in here again. Thank you.

It seems to me lately that the biggest problem here is not so much with the "hating" but the judging...I suppose the judging leads to the "hating" but thats not really the point I'm trying to make.
So many recent threads seem to be about what's wrong with this forum, what's wrong with individual posters but never what's right.
People are twisting each other's words to suit whatever mold they'd like to put that person into - and it's getting sickening to see.
It just seems to me that almost every time I come here there is a new division amongst us - the spammers, the tossers, the this the that and the next... but why? why do we have to spend so much time and effort grouping each other into tidy little cliques and then judging them based on that rather than listen to what the individual person has to say?
why is it so easy to just dismiss and disrespect someone that we disagree with rather than make the effort to understand where they're coming from?
I'll admit that I may have misjudged Dingo for all his wastelands comments, I found it to be really negative and annoying - but now I think maybe that's not his intent. so for that Dingo, I'm sorry.
It would be cool to see the community just be a community again, not a whole mess of cliques that are constantly looking down their noses at one another.

Nice post Pandora. Great points.
People definitely are judged as being a spammer or a tosser and those judgements often ruin great posts.
About that game...We can play when I have a few free hours on my hands and when I'm not hanging out with friends. Yeah graduation is coming real soon. So I'm not sure I'll be in the mood for a while. But I'll let ya know if I happen to have the time.
