What would you like to see in H3 wog in future???

Heve you got some new ideas how to make H3 Wog better??? Write it here...


And I can't wait for v3.58 ...

Do you know some news about this version like when it will be ready for download???Or what will be there new???
I read only something about creating new town,some new creatures,experience for creatures and new artifacts...

I just posted a reply in the Round Table forums about when 3.58 will be ready so I'll post the same information here:

We don't know how long it will take for us to finish. The stack experience system is really cool and will also be quite customizable for those who want to get into it, but it's taking quite a long time to finish and balance. There are other WoG features that need finishing too, plus getting multiplayer to work right (fixing some 3.57f problems and getting the stack experience to work in it too..hopefully) could take some time.

And after everything is finished, I hope we can do an extensive one month single and multiplayer beta test (with Gangrail's testing team and others) and fix any errors during this time to make this an extremely error-free update. To a large extent, the 3.58 update polishes and improves on a number of scripts and features in 3.57f to make them work smoother, as well as adding new features and numerous script options.

Anyway, aside from the testing phase, I guess it could take another month or two or three (I really hope not longer!) -- or maybe I'm wrong and we'll finish faster. But I just don't know. A lot of the work (all the coding) is done by Slava (with new dialogue boxes done by Alexander) and with feedback, ideas and tons of testing by other team members.

Team members also write all the scripts (but Slava adds new commands) and decide and set up the specific bonuses to give creatures for stack experience (but Slava writes the codes to let us give those abilities). So you see, it's a cooperative process but with only one main programmer (who has a real job), it can be slow. And remember this is all done in everyone's free time. There are sometimes delays in script updates or other things when team members have extra work, go away on vacation or have personal stuff to deal with.

I hope this answers everyone's questions about a release date. When we know a real release date or have a better idea, we'll let people know.

First excuse my English,I'm from Czech republic...

I think this is all what I wanted to know...So we will just only wait for the next version...And of corse we'll play the older version of Wog....

I don't know how others but I like this Addon for Heroes 3.I've got a lot of ideas of new creatures,towns,objects and if you ask I can tell you something.But I'm not the programmer or scripter so I can't realize my ideas...


For example some creatures:
White knight (picture from black knight)
Spellnix (picture from firebird with Energy elementals colours-it can cast chain lighting)
Cloud Spirit (Efreet in air colours)
Spirit of the night (Efreet in dark colours)
Black sorcerrer (Archmage in black)

towns
How to create a Magic town which will appear on map only on some day for a short period and then it will disappear.It will contain only four levels of magical creatures and 3 types of mage guilts and other magical buildings.


You know,it's only my ideas so it's only a fantasy creatures and objects.But try to think about it....


So have No Fear,and do it yourself!!!

Maybe he could invoke an army of infernal troglodytes from dead enemies..

Yes yo're right.I think it's very big different between Dragon Lord and the other commanders.Maybe it would summon black dragons or red but only two or three dragons and after some earned experience he could cast black dragon with more lifepoints....

And how about the new town???Try to think about it....

No he isn't too powerful. He gets powerful when he grows in lvl because the amount of dragons summoned rises with his lvls. But yes, he is a little too strong right from the beginning. Maybe i should change his specialty...?

About the Dragon lord...
I first thought about giving it the ability to summon dragon flies, but it seemed a little bad. A dungeon commander summoning fortress units...
Maybe instead of summoning red dragons from the beginning he could cast a sort of breath attck. Then, when being a little more experienced he could summon red dragon at lvl 13, black at lvl 20 and finally darkness at lvl 28 or something like it.

I don't think that it would be a beutiful sight to see a trodgolyte spitting fire on it's opponent. But it is an idea, of course.

Commander skills:
Flying ability shouldnīt be available for walking commanders. I donīt like an idea of flying ogre leader or paladin.. Flying should be replaced with some other skill, but succubus and astral spirit should have it in the beginning.
Also, the stats of different commanders could be different too...

I have said this in some thread before, but hired freelancers are too slow to reach enemy heroes. And the stack amounts are a "bit" too huge.. Maybe if those freelancers were faster but in smaller groups??

There will be an optional script in 3.58 that gives some abilities to Commanders immediately (such as Flying to Succubus if I recall correctly) and generally "balanced them" a bit differently.

As for the Freelancers, unfortunately it's impossible to change their speed.

well, in future versions of h3 wog i would like to see...

1. when i build 'Skyship' (Tower grail strucutre) i would want to have the option to OR not to reveal all the map. i hate to see all locations on the map before i get there. it spoiles the whole game

2. the blacksmith in any castle type should sell once and only once to any given hero a 'shackles of war' artifact. and if this artifact were to be sacrificed on the 'altar of sacrifice' for experience then it should not give any experience (the same as sacrifying a spell scroll, because it was bought from the blacksmith )

3. the 9th-10th skills option...i would want to have the option to choose that/those extra skills (if i want 'eagle eye' then 'eagle eye' i'll choose and have as an extra(hidden)skill) not to have random generated one/s

4. upgradeable external dwellings...for example the option to upgrade a 'gnoll hut' to its corresponding level 1 creature dwelling, let's say a 'pikemen' dwelling. the cost would be the sum of the non-upgraded and upgraded building normally build in its respective town type plus 10 mythril

5. when selecting from the starting bonus, artifacts, i wish i would have the option to let me choose the artifact i want to start with not to get a random one

When you get your normal 8 skills and level up you are asked if you want a specific 9-th skill. If you say no you will have the choice the next level and so  on.

This is possible for more than a year. What version of WoG do you have? Have you enabled the M ithril Enhancement script?

This should be possible but for now it isn't possible to see what the gamer has selected because ERM loads after the map starts

1. if it can be possible can it be done ? i hate not being able to build a grail structure in one of my favorite castles because of this reveal the whole map spoiler

2. why u ask ? simple. 'cause i don't want to see the enemy flee with the artifacts and a chunk of creatures simply because my army is better then his, that's why. and if one does not like this option then they can easily turn it off in the wogify options screen.

3. if u refuse 4 or 5 times u won't be asked for no hidden skill ever. and even if it offers me an hidden skill that i do not want by this randomness, until i get the skill i want i may not be needing it at all 'cause i'll be finishing the map by then. and then what's the use of hidden skills if i can not make full use of them ?

4. i have 3.58 final patched to Heroes 3 Complete (or Platinum) Edition. i know i can upgrade an external dwelling that gives me Pikemen to Halberdiers. what i want is to upgrade Pikemen external dwelling to Pixies external dwelling. can this be done in the new patch ?

5. i think it may be done. the artifact bonus is placed after the standard map has been loaded and before any current ERM scripts are loaded, right? then an ERM script that should execute before any other can record those standard map artifacts present on main human starting hero and compare them with the final artifacts present on the main starting human player. and if the result is a new 'treasure artifact' then another ERM script deletes that artifact and gives the human player the option to change it to another 'treasure artifact' or to keep the existing one. the same thing may be done with the resources and gold bonuses.
