There's also social democratism #2.
Having those two at the top is kinda weird.
And libertanism? WTF!

This thing is not nearly as good as the other ones.

Took the other test as well, gosh it was looong.

Overall, the PoliticsForum quiz considers you a small-government, nationalist, free-trade, non-absolutist, liberal-market kind of person.

These characteristics would put you in the overall category of libertarian

You scored 42 out of 100 on a scale of Individual vs Social. This means that politically you are neither more nor less likely to value the need for group actions and group benefit over individual enterprise and benefit.

You scored 54 out of 100 on a scale of Theist vs Materialist. This means that politically you are neither more nor less likely to believe that religion and spirituality are superstitions that should not inform political debate.

You scored 84 out of 100 on a scale of Big Government vs Small Government. This means that politically you are more likely to believe that government should keep out of legislating social policies, leaving such decisions to individuals.

You scored 23 out of 100 on a scale of Nationalist vs Internationalist. This means that politically you are  less  likely to favour international bodies over national ones.

You scored 72 out of 100 on a scale of Protectionist vs Free Trader. This means that politically you are more likely to favour free trade over protectionist policies.

You scored 77 out of 100 on a scale of Absolutist vs Non Absolutist. This means that politically you are  less  likely to believe that there is an absolute truth that may guide your ideological beliefs.

You scored 67 out of 100 on a scale of Controlled Market vs Liberal Market. This means that politically you are  less  likely to believe that there is need for government regulation of industry.

You scored 57 out of 100 on a scale of Marxist vs Non-Marxist. This means that politically you are  neither more nor less  likely to follow the philosophies of Marx.

Hmm, I'm more of a centrist regarding the capitalism/socialism thing... on one hand I support a free market and trade, but on the other I also support socialist services... and I'm more in the middle regarding the Marxist category, and as far as I know Marx was against capitalism.

And yet you came out as a liberal market kind of person. I would think that an 80 question test would be able to detect that you aren't.

But there are such people as non-Marxist socialists.

20 years for murder I wouldn't deem extreme or fanatic. In fact, that would be moderate in my eyes. What we have in the netherlands is fanatic - in the soft direction.

"Social Democratism" and "Democrat Socialism", what's the difference?
Anarcho-socialism (if it's what I know it is) should be a bit lower, and not above Democratic Socialism. But that's only if it's using the definition I know, not the 'american' one (like americans think liberals = anti-conservatives, so I wouldn't know anyway).

Maybe it's accurate for other definitions.

I was wondering that as well So I did a bit of search on wikipedia.

Democratic Socialism

Social Democratism
Quote:
The term {Democratic Socialism} is sometimes used synonymously with 'social democracy', but many self-identified democratic socialists oppose social democracy, seeing it as capitalist.

But it's how they see it, it's not capitalist:
Quote:
Social democracy is a political philosophy of the left or centre-left that emerged in the late 19th century from the socialist movement and continues to exert influence worldwide.

But since Democratic Socialists view the Social Democracy as capitalistic then it means the former is more 'socialistic'

At least it is something...

The main difference between democratic socialism and social democracy is in the ownership of the means of production. Under democratic socialism, all the means of production are owned by the government, which is elected democratically and respects civil liberties. Under social democracy, on the other hand, most of the means of production are under private ownership, although regulated (sometimes heavily) and a great variety of public services (health care, transportation, education, pensions, etc.) are given to the general population at taxpayer expense.

Basically, for democratic socialism, think of a democratic non-oppressive North Korea, and for social democracy, think of most of the countries in Western Europe.
