Hm...

I got 145...

But it was an annoying test. I don't know how many ounces there are in a pound! Damn your American measurements. Can't keep nothing simple either, what is it, 12 inches per foot??

Guess dividing things into tens and hundreds would be too boring, huh?

I can see there’s a lot of confusion of terminology here. (probably mostly because i’m a non-native speaker. Sorry.)

Quote:
Properties like the transitive, Modus Ponens, Modus Tollens are relations that implies something from previous propositions, not that guarantees equivalence between two propositions.

Quite true, Athuimus. And they are always correct. These are conclusions that are always true, and the only legitimate ones we can use. (we call them taftologies.)
The example provided, however, is not the case. What you are arguing about is that the statement can be false/true. It is obvious though, as can be seen from the table. But the very essence of drawing that conclusion is a wrong one. You can NEVER draw that kind of conclusion. Therefore, it is a false conclusion, i.e. the whole statement is false. (i don’t know why you call it undetermined. I have never read this term in logic books, with the meaning you say it has. But nevermind, it’s a defference in terminology, as i said. )
If a statement is always false, here we call it contrdiction. (e.g. “p AND non-p”)

Quote:
That is not an if-then relation, it is a inference. An if-then relation is p->q. And the statement is a imply, so you only consider in the table the case that the first sentence( (p->q)^(q->r) ) is true.

Difference in terminoly again:
“=>” same with “->” same with “imlication” same with “imply” same with “if-then relation”. You and i talk about the same things. Lol.

But about the letter part concerning the table, you are wrong. In order to prove that a statement is false/true, you need to look at ALL the possible cases, not just the true values of the condition. Test the Transitive Property, Modus Ponens and Modus Tolens statements for all the possible cases, and you’ll see that they are always true, which makes them valid conclusions, unlike the example with the zippers.

Here, i did it for you, about the transitive property. Try the others yourself. “(p=>q) AND non-q => non-p” and  “(p=>q) AND p => q”. can’t remember which one was which.

(p=>q) AND (q=>r) => (p=>r)

p q r p=>q - q=>r - p=>r - (p=>q)AND(q=>r) -- ALL
T T T - T --- T --- T --------- T ----------- T
T F T - F --- T --- T --------- F ----------- T
T T F - T --- F --- F --------- F ----------- T
F T T - T --- T --- T --------- T ----------- T
F T F - T --- F --- T --------- F ----------- T
F F T - T --- T --- T --------- T ----------- T
T F F - F --- T --- F --------- F ----------- T
F F F - T --- T --- T --------- T ----------- T

An "implication" is an "if-then relation" that is always true.

So when you are testing and "implication" you always tests the "if" part as being true, and certificates that the "then" part is never false, what would invalidate the "always true" property.

True, there is no undetermined in logic. But there is when you compare two results, or evaluate a expression of variables.

As you said, being a non-native english speaker is hard when you are writing this kind of posts. There are lots of terms that I don't know the translation.

all white things are bright colors
This dose not mean all bright colors are white things.

Same goes for
ALl zoops are zeeps.
That dosnt mean all Zeeps are zoops.

There is, undetermined in logic btw.

As you can see there are 3 sections, each numbered.
Section one states that no things that are zips are not zoops. Equivalently said "All aips are Zoops.

Section 2 states all things that are zoops, are zeeps.

When you combine the 2 facts, you are looking at section 3

There could be zeeps that arent zoops or zips.
And Or perhaps all Zeeps are zoops, or all Zeeps are zoops and zips. or some zoops are zips and zoops, while some are merely zoops.

undetermined
Not arrogant**

My friends, this is undetermined. This is AAA-4
Logic teachers can say undetermined or flat out invalid. I stood up to my philosophy teacher and i was right each time, hes mad and he might have quit, which is why i let the education system continue like this in m life.

its undetermined because some cases it can be true or false. Yet by logic undetermined/invalid logicly.
