The empire of the world II and Wayfarer(E) are my two favorites. I also have a weakness for Jedi Story, a map like The empire of the world II and Wayfarer(E)(quests and brilliant map design), and Ira the Mage(the best battle design I have seen in SoD).
When it comes to WoG, Salamandre is second to none. I especially like The empire of the world III(the reason I started playing WoG) and Time of prophecy. Both containing excellent map and battle design. I also really like the maps made by Baron. Like Salamandre's maps the map design is excellent. The battle design isn’t as great as Salamandre's map, but still good. So his maps aren’t as challenging as Salamandre's maps. Just plain fun.
The best campaign I have played is by far Eternal Love. 8 really great and very different maps. Must have taken many months to make.

Oh! I totaly have forgotten Baron's maps. I liked "The misfortunate Drogba Hare" and "Snowlord", but you again have to raise beyound-than-normal-quantity armies and the text has a bunch of grammar mistakes.

Me and my girlfriend really like big allied XL maps with quests, so:
whoever made map "2 Friends" YOU ARE AWESOME. This is THE coolest map for two players we've ever played. Lots of quests, lots of hard choices and so on. You may need to replay it few times in order to win.
I also recommend Gnollandia 
Any recommendations on quest-based allied maps?

How and where can I dload Eternal Love campaign? And can someone list all the classical-H3-user-made-maps which have been played by hundreds of players and are well known  ? I mean like 'The empire of the World' and 'To Kill for a Power' and 'Unleashing the Bloodthirsty' etc...

I like your list, i played all the maps, altough i haven't finish the 6. on the list yet, and i agree almost with everything. I don't like much of 9. and 10. of the list, i would change it to the map To Kill for Power and Shar's War.

Ahah, i haven't check the date, but you are here too, so it's not very inactive
btw this post should be fixed somewhere, i think this list shows the very best of the h3 user made maps along with the reviews. It inspired me to make maps of my own, i had to comment ^^

I am the author of Paragon and there is no English version yet.
I've been working on it for some time and really, really hope to finish it towards the end of the year.
The problem is that the map contains amount of text worthy of a small novel and the Russian version was highly praised for its story and writing, so I have to meet certain standards and my Enlgish is obviously worse than my Russian.

Thx, I saw some streams of your amazing map and came to the same conclusion: if I try to Google Translate the messages or ignore them I will lose most of the fun. Hope you can finnish it. Btw, there isn't any version of the map in Maps4Heroes.com.

Yeah, I don't see any point in posting the russian version there, as then I'd have to answer questions about english version much more often . It could motivate me, though.

That sounds awesome. I have wanted to play that map for years. I tried it in Russian a couple of years ago and was very impressed. Looks like a masterpiece. But my inability to understand the text made it brutally hard and I felt like, I was missing a good story.

Glad to hear there's a demand for my map.
Unfoturnately, I've overestimated myself. For now I'm working on the 3rd revision of the map, which includes rebalancing of all major battles.
Nevertherless, I'll have plenty of free time in January to finish what I've started.

Please do. There is a high demand for heroes like you or (RoseKavalier who has all the maps ). If you need any help with translating as well just say so.

I can definitely wait. I would imagine that making an English version is quite the time-consuming task. I’m just glad to learn, that such a version is actually in the works.
