Grails for h3 - Again :)

Well, well, well... am I creating more grails? Yes...

Each of these grails that I will mention, are not mentioned in the older thread. Since it is updated, I hope it is a lot better than it was before. NO conflux, though.
I introduced the grails from the older heroes. Here’s the system:

HOMM3 GRAILS:

This section includes those good ol’ grails with their specific benefits:

Colossus (Castle)


The presence of the COLOSSUS increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold each day, and increases the morale of all allied heroes by +2.

Spirit Guardian (Rampart)


The presence of the SPIRIT GUARDIAN increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold each day and increases the luck of all allied heroes by +2.

Skyship (Tower)


The presence of the SKYSHIP increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold each day, reveals the entire world map and increases the knowledge of any defending hero by +15.

Deity of Fire (Inferno)


The presence of the DEITY OF FIRE increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold each day. Every week hereafter will a Week of the Imp.

Soul Prison (Necropolis)


The presence of the SOUL PRISON increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold each day and boosts the Necromancy skill of all allied heroes (who possess the skill) by +20%.

Guardian of Earth (Dungeon)


The presence of the GUARDIAN OF EARTH increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your empire with an additional 5,000 gold each day and increases the Power of a garrison hero by +12 defending against a siege.

Warlords’ Monument (Stronghold)


The presence of the WARLORDS' MONUMENT increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold each day and increases the Attack strenght of a garrison hero by +20 when defending against a siege.

Carnivorous Plant (Fortress)


The presence of the CARNIVOROUS PLANT increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold each day and increases the Attack and Defense strenght of a garrison hero by +10 each when defending against a siege.

CREATED GRAILS:

Statue of Paladins (Castle)

The presence of the STATUE OF PALADINS increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold, 2 wood and 2 ore each day. Archers/Marksmen are automatically upgraded to Sharpshooters, whenever you enter the town, free of charge. Knights receive a 20% bonus in “Offence” skill (if it is possessed), while Clerics receive a 20% bonus in “Intelligence”. The defending hero gains maximum positive luck when fighting against the siege.

Also, the presence of the STATUE OF PALADINS adds the following LVL.8 creature into the ranks:

1. Pikeman/Halberdier
2. Archer/Marksman
3. Griffin/Royal Griffin
4. Swordsman/Crusader
5. Monk/Zealot
6. Cavalier/Champion
7. Angel/Archangel
8. Colossus

Spirit of Gaia (Rampart)

The presence of the SPIRIT OF GAIA increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold and 2 crystal each day. Wood Elves/Grand Elves are automatically upgraded to Sharpshooters, whenever you enter the town, free of charge. Rangers receive a 20% bonus in “Armorer” skill (if it is possessed), while Druids receive a 20% bonus in “First Aid”. The defending hero gains maximum luck when fighting against the siege.

Also, the presence of the SPIRIT OF GAIA adds the following LVL.8 creature into the ranks:

1. Centaur/Centaur Captain
2. Dwarf/Battle Dwarf
3. Wood Elf/Grand Elf
4. Pegasus/Silver Pegasus
5. Dendroid Guard/Dendroid Soldier
6. Unicorn/War Unicorn

Thunder Spire (Tower)

The presence of the THUNDER SPIRE increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold and 2 gems each day. Mages/Arch Mages are automatically upgraded to Enchanters, whenever you enter the town, free of charge. Alchemists receive a 20% bonus in “Estates” skill, while Wizards receive a 20% bonus in “Sorcery”. The defending hero gains +5 spell power when fighting against the siege.

Also, the presence of the THUNDER SPIRE adds the following LVL.8 creature into the ranks:

1. Gremlin/Master Gremlin
2. Stone Gargoyle/Obsidian Gargoyle
3. Stone Golem/Iron Golem
4. Mage/Arch Mage
5. Genie/Master Genie
6. Naga/Naga Queen
7. Giant/Titan
8. Valkyrie

Tartarian Gates (Inferno)

The presence of the TARTARIAN GATES increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold and 2 sulfur each day. Imps/Familiars are automatically upgraded to Magogs, whenever you enter the town, free of charge. Demoniacs receive a 20% bonus in “Resistance” skill, while Heretics receive a 20% bonus in “Fire Magic”. The defending hero gains +2 spell power and adds extra 500 imps/familiars to the stack (only for battle) when fighting against the siege.

Also, the presence of the TARTARIAN GATES adds the following LVL.8 creature into the ranks:

1. Imp/Familiar
2. Gog/Magog
3. Hell Hound/Cerberus
4. Demon/Horned Demon
5. Pit Fiend/Pit Lord
6. Efreet/Efreet Sultan
7. Devil/Arch Devil
8. Tartar

Soul River (Necropolis)

The presence of the SOUL RIVER increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold, 2 wood and 2 ore each day. Walking Dead/Zombies are automatically upgraded to Mummies, whenever you enter the town, free of charge. Death Knights receive a 20% bonus in “Learning” skill, while Necromancers receive a 20% bonus in "Necromancy". The defending hero resurrects +50% more skeletons/skeleton warriors when fighting against the siege.

Also, the presence of the SOUL RIVER adds the following LVL.8 creature into the ranks:

1. Skeleton/Skeleton Warrior
2. Walking Dead/Zombie
3. Wight/Wraith
4. Vampire/Vampire Lord
5. Lich/Power Lich
6. Black Knight/Dread Knight
7. Bone Dragon/Ghost Dragon
8. Grim Reaper (?)

Telluric Temple (Dungeon)

The presence of the TELLURIC TEMPLE increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold and 2 sulfur each day. Troglodytes/Infernal Troglodytes are automatically upgraded to Trolls, whenever you enter the town, free of charge. Overlords receive a 20% bonus in “Tactics” skill, while Warlocks receive a 20% bonus in “Earth Magic”. The defending hero has triple spell points when defending against the siege.

Also, the presence of the TELLURIC TEMPLE adds the following LVL.8 creature into the ranks:

1. Troglodyte/Infernal Troglodyte
2. Harpy/Harpy Hag
3. Beholder/Evil Eye
4. Medusa/Medusa Queen
5. Minotaur/Minotaur King
6. Manticore/Scorpicore
7. Red Dragon/Black Dragon
8. Megadragon

Festival of War (Stronghold)

The presence of the FESTIVAL OF WAR increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold and 2 crystal each day. Goblins/Hobgoblins are automatically upgraded to Orcs, whenever you enter the town, free of charge. Barbarians receive a 20% bonus in “Pathfinding” skill, while Battle Mages receive a 20% bonus in “Mysticism”. The defending hero gains +6 attack when defending against the siege.

Also, the presence of the FESTIVAL OF WAR adds the following LVL.8 creature into the ranks:

1. Goblin/Hobgoblin
2. Wolf Rider/Wolf Raider
3. Orc/Orc Chieftain
4. Ogre/Ogre Mage
5. Roc/Thunderbird
6. Cyclops/Cyclops King
7. Behemoth/Ancient Behemoth
8. Argus (100-eyed, 6 hands)

Preserve of Chaos (Fortress)

The presence of the PRESERVE OF CHAOS increases weekly creature generation by 50%, provides your kingdom with an additional 5,000 gold and 2 sulfur each day. Lizardsmen/Lizard Warriors are automatically upgraded to Basilisks, whenever you enter the town, free of charge. Beastmasters receive a 20% bonus in “Scouting” skill, while Witches receive a 20% bonus in “Water Magic”. The defending hero gains +4 defense and +1 attack when defending against the siege.

Also, the presence of PRESENCE OF CHAOS adds the following LVL.8 creature into the ranks:

1. Gnoll/Gnoll Marauder
2. Lizardsman/Lizard Warrior
3. Serpent Fly/Dragon Fly
4. Basilisk/Greater Basilisk
5. Gorgon/Mighty Gorgon
6. Wyvern/Wyvern Monarch
7. Hydra/Chaos Hydra
8. Scylla

P.S. Creatures weren't taken from WoG, only the skills should be the same, cause I'm lazy to add mine.

I was just about to post something like this soon, but i guess you beat me . I guess this is pretty good. I see you added pics too. One thing tho'. Necro's grail is +20 PERCENT not +20.

Sorry but i find some of your ideas a bit apsurd.
Like why would both marksmen and elf be upgraded into sharpshooters? Castle would have and advantige couse they usually have much more archers than rampart would have elfs.
Also why would Castle heroes get maximum luck. Wouldnt morall be more logical?

Inferno gets demones out of IMPS. Ok maybe demons are not the best 4th level unit, but you usually have hoards of imps, and you transform them all into demons (no matter how crappy they are) inferno would be unstopable.

Another thing, how can you get +20% to some skills like scouting or tacticks? They are not percentualy based.

Warlocks get 20% to LEARNING. Well at this point you could have give them scholar since those are definitly the crappiest 2 skills.

There are some other things i cant bother to write about.

But i guess with some changes those are not bad ideas.

Hmm... The free creature upgrades must be more balanced if it's supposed to work. Imps to demons? The world would be overrunned by them. Sharpshooters and Enchanters? These are veeeery special creatures and should therefore be treated like special creatures. Rare and in rather small numbers. The level 8 thingy is a good idea though.
Learning to warlocks? Not learning. Anything else, but not learning! Not scholar either!

Inferno: Add 200 Familiars for castle defence? By the time you have the grail, 200 familiars does not make a big difference.

I don't know what to do instead of these things, but I'll probably be back about that.

IMO I think the 8th lvl creatures kinda stink. I mean in the stronghold, why would there be a ghost behemoth? And Supreme Archangel,hell hydra? Blood Dragon? what is all of this? I mean come on you are mixing things that ought not be fixed. Ghost Behemoth in Stronghold a barbarian place? It's like a Necro/Stronghold combo. What about Leviathan or something like that? Hell Hydra? Now we have Inferno and Fortress?!?! What is going on? Antichrist is kind of harsh, too.

Castle: they gain morale, not luck. You've mistaken the towns.

Inferno: changed!

Tactics and Scouting: 20% - Scouting /  ~ +1 scouting radius; Tactics / ~ +2 hexes of pre-combat movement.

Learning: earth magic better?

Actually, expert learning with an additional 20% would look a lot better than the other crap skills... I mean, 135% experience for that legion of goblins is kinda interesting, no?

But implosion with 2000 damage instead of 1000 is nice too

Check your own post before replaying. Castle get maximum positiv luck when deffending against siege.

Also beastmaster gets a bonus to scouting, well thanx a lot. Wouldnt armorer be better and more logicall?

Same goes for barbarian. Bonus to pathfinding?

Better level 8 creatures. But Megadragon? Sound silly. Argus was a very good one. He should have an buildt-in Eagly Eye skill. Sees everything, right?
And I've been thinking about level 8 creaures. They should be very powerful, but very limited. I think you should be able to only have only one of them at the same time.

Nope. I'd suggest having two of them per month. That would be the best IMO.

But when speaking about Megadragon - this was taken from the very well known h4 version named WoW (no doubt you know).

Skills:

each of them should have 400-700 HP, 40-50 attack and defence, 10-20 speed. Maybe more, but it would be suitable.

WHy, fine idea. ONly, FOrtress looses it's sole shooters.

ANd an idea, INferno should have it's ARch DEvils replaced with ARch ANgels with grail, with free upgrade. YOu need morale when hoarding demons, for they're UNdead.

TArtar - decreases attack skill for all units that use their teeth for attack.

ANd about 500 temporary IMps - DEmons risen from them will be temporary, too, so don't worry... THe good thing they're useful - is SAcrifice. SHould we make this stack non-living to prevent it?
