I think resistance is already a skill that you learn... but if it was a prime skill that wold be better yes but I still don't know...

I think it should be left as it is, with only certain creatures having the ability to resist certain spells.
If the creature experience idea was incorporated in to game then i suppose creatures in time could develop some magic resistance.

Right now,if your hero has grandmaster resistance, spells do no damage to him! Of course, it takes other skills to get Grandmaster in one, and you can't give it to your troops.
