wog unbalanced!!!

i think the new version is totally unbalanced especially 2 races:
-the necro-too much skeletrons +artifacts for undead- let me see +12 zombies per week , u can combine easy the artifacts for necros(that who gives u liches and that who cast 4 spells at the begining of round - u just need a race who have artifact merchants) artifacts tooo powerfull like the ring of diplomacy + cape of resitance gives u +400% of ur skeletrons - i think that is tooooooooo much) and dont forget the commnader

-the elementals- 4 of the creature are imune to fire and that mean that a hero who has eagle eye can easily learn armaghedon and create haos on the map+ artifact merchants= u can create the statue of legion who gives u a extremly unfair bonus +6 firebird/phoenixes per week

You're almost right in your opinions....
But let's do not forget that all the races are balanced, and in WOG 3.57 the skills are developed so you can wisely choose 8 skills ( or 10 ) LOL !!!that can help you to conquer the map.
Necropolis always had this "necromancy capability" and never unbalanced the game.

Think about Stronghold...Most of the HOMM III players I know prefer Stronghold....

As a conclusion I think that the game, even in his latest release (3.57) is well balanced.

Actually, everything about conflux you mentioned except the commander is there without wog.

why stronghold?
i like to play dungeon or tower

but my opinion is still almost the same
i know that the necromancy was also in the h3 original but
for example:
if u had luck u may find the animate dead spell when u make level 3 magic.
another example let say u play stronghold and i play necro
both of us without artifact merchants. i find i tower castle
build artifact merchants and buy the ring and the cape
now let say u have around 250 first level troops and i have 1k level troops and maybe some animate dead because i have eagle eye and maybe u have eagle eye and have resurect also.
but even that u cannot compare with 1k skeltrons (maybe with prayer on them+ they cannot be hipnotize or bersek)

yup but the artifact merchants changes only at one month not one day

and those artifacts are pretty hard to find even on a large map

ok. the ideea is that in almost every game the necromancers get a whole list of advantages, so their forces are unbalanced anyway. For example i love to play an XL with Fortress with Tazar or Alkin, go for those MAD COWS (Mighty Gorgons) and beat the snow out of everybody. But if  I try this against a necromancer on multiplayer i have just 3 words: I AM DOOMED. So, if you talk about WOG or SOD or AB or RoF it's almost the same thing when talking about unbalanced forces. But what can I say...Those are the rules!

Don't forget that what Necro gains with it's Skeletons and other low lvl creatures it loses in movement on the map.  A large army is useless if you are beat to everything on the map LOL.

yup but a necro with expert ai skill with dimension door would be unstopable(maybe just by elementals with armaghedon)
by the way a noticed something stange in wog...
un cant combine armaghedon's blade..i know i easy to combine it if u find a upgrade building but the system onl works to combine only titan' s bolt
i dont want to combine armaghedons blade from upgrades but i think it will be better to combine armaghedon' blade in old fashion way... i think is an advantage for those who dont play with necros and want to be imune to armaghedon when they met a powerfull necro

Armageddon's Blade isn't (and never was) a combination artifact. It's just a very powerful relic.

Yes. In the Armageddon Blade campaign, the premise was that you were bringing the artifacts needed to forge the Armageddon's Blade. But the actual artifact is not a combo artifact. It can't normally be constructed from other artifacts and it can't be broken apart.

Of course, you could use quest huts or ERM scripts to make any group of artifacts be replaced with another artifact, so you could do that with the AB Blade if you liked. But it has no build-in combo qualities.

I'm not sure if we can make new combo artifacts or even turn existing artifacts into combos. I think Slava said it's not something he can do at this time (without the source code).

We could possibly simulate it through scripting but I don't think it would look or work quite the same as a regular combo anyway. But nobody's tried writing a script like that yet so I'm not sure.

So you guys call the necropolis,unbalanced!!!
actually its true it has been unbalanced till sod came up.
i like the necropolis since heroes 2,but it was always  the weakest race,this is unfair,only necrom experts like myself,stand a chance versus other races.
lets talk about lvl 7 creatures look at the ghost dragon, he is the weakest lvl 7 creature in the game,the dreadknight is more usefull than him to me,the only thing i depend on is the necromatic powers.

what can i say...
i think u played too much heroes clasic
in the wog version of heroes the necros have too much advantages.. and even a average player should observe that not to mention that maybe at the level 7 creature the ghost dragon is week(except that powerfull ages enemies) but how about the liches , vampires or dread knights? are they not powerfull or what... especially the dread knights who i consider they are number 2 in the 6th level most powerfull creature( after naga queen) my opinion of course

yes they got the most powerfull level4,5,6 monsters
but they can get useless against the titan or an angel,
don't they????
