Poll Question:
book ideas
i'm writing a book, believe it or not. i'm trying to figure out interesting dragons and things like that. it's about the destruction of the human race by a dragon and her offspring for the protection of the planet. it also has a side story about my dog looking for my reincarnation. any spiffy ideas would be vastly appreciated.

May I Suggest?
Could I respectfully suggest that you write up an outline of the main ideas of your story first? I think that's the best way to start a story.
Gather all the thoughts you like best and put them in an order of occurence that you find the most attractive.
Or perhaps, order the ideas you have in the way that you think the reader would best enjoy them.
Either way, starting with an outline of your favorite ideas can be very useful.

i know what i'm doing
well, it's easier for me to do things without preperation, i just need ideas on what things look like, it's not like i'll be solid on the things i get anyways.
i know how to write a book for pits sake.

well
the main dragon is a she
her reproduction is similar to that of a queen ant or hive like insect
the humans don't make it out of a city unless it is pleaded that a human be resurected into a sprite
the male dragon that sired her offspring was slain
now in north america
it moves on from there
all i need are some creative juices for the dragons, i'm talking about some crazy looking things. and not only dragon looks, it's pretty much an open term for this creature. they can look like just about anything, within reason of course
the main dragon is several hundred feet long, serpent-like in appearance, black with green, gold, and orange flecks on the scales, blue mane, multicolor catlike eyes, limbs that shapeshift and grow out of her body. her head is wolf/bear looking. anything to describe them is handy and i would like the assists

Hate to burst your bubble, but a movie vas released 2 or 3 years ago on the very exact same ideea. It was called "Reign of fire' and was a rather entertaining action movie.

reign of fire...
quite entertaining ...with dragons that if in the horrible D&D movie they could at least partially save it ...and yes, the main idea was more or less the same
