Are you sure you understand the laws of physics? For a body, organic or not, to move in any direction, something must be forcing it to. The mere wetness of the stairs isn't a force, making your point invalid.

Wetnes of stairs neutralises the force of friction and prevents normal walking

God is outside the laws of physics.  End of discussion.

I agree. Laws of physics are tool of God's creation. Master doesn't comply to a tool.

And, Woock, don't mess with me in physics. I were in many competitions. I study it in free time.

God was able, but if he interfered, he would have took the man his most precious gift: the freedom to do what he desires.
That is another interesting point.

Given:
1. God loves us
2. God made the rules
3. God created us

Processing the information:
Ad 1. If he loves us, he doesn't want us to suffer.
Ad 2. He could design the rules so that wars, hatred and sorrow are all impossible, but didn't do so.
Ad 3. God cast the ones he loved into a place where he knew they'd be unhappy.

Conclusion: god is a hell* of a mean guy

*pun intended

Oh please, not the free will defense again. How cynical is that, to suggest that 6 millions of Jews would not rather have their "free will" being limited by a metaphysical act of god than be murdered by the nazis.

And how would it have touched the free will of the Iranians, if your god had interfered with the most recent earthquake near Bam, that ended 20000 human lives?

If father loves a son, will he put him locked in room, so that his son wouldn't fall into troubles?
If he loves him, he will set him free.
God created us a wonderful world and gave us freedom. We are responsible for everything we done using it.
He doesn't want us to suffer, but what can a father do if his son is a drug addict? Father doesn't want his son to suffer, right? Will he lock him in chains?

True.

That would not be free will.  That would be restricted, and that's not much different from no free will.  Also, even the worst of deeds can be used for good.

True.  What can I say?  Nothing is ideal.  Faith is required.  A sheltered person has no strength in their faith.  Those who have gone through great trials often come out more convinced of God's existance than those to whom a "Divine Sign" has been granted.

Sure, a loving father doesn't chain up his son. This doesn't mean he doesn't try to protect him from bad things and teach him not to do bad things. Now tell me - how does god do these things?

What's your point?
Did God had to make race of people who don't have freedom so they are forced to worship Him?
Or he must constantly fix and repair the Earth, so eartquake doesn't happen and we would live in paradise?

As for Vadskye's reply to my tyrade...

If I create a computer game in which there will be no killing - am I restricting the player's free will?

God gave you some gift of personality. You can be gifted with bravery, or intelligence etc.
He doesn't stop everything bad that can happen to a man, but he does some things.

No.  The player decided to buy the video game.  He had free will.  He may be disapointed that there is no killing, but the player is the one who bought the video game and thus it is the player's fault.

Itīs not my job to struggle with the logical problems of your religion.
My point is that this god of yours either did not want to help, or was not able to help, or did not know what happened, or does not exist.

Well he could stop Bush from being re-elected for one thing!

I have an idea.  Let's do Devil's Advocate.  Fenix and I will defend atheism, and Woock and Lews will defend Christianity.  What do you say?

Man doesn't need to kill to be kguilty of killing.
If I want to kill you that I would do anything to do it, but I can't, I'm guilty because I would do it if I could.
Not in the meaning of human law, ofcourse. I'm talking about character and morale.
If you restrict control for killing to your game, your characters could be filled with hatred, but they can't kill. If you give them knife, they would do  such things.
If you make characters so they cannot think about violence, you're restricting their will.

Makes no sense. One side will defend the concept they're to defend to the fullest of their skills while the other will just sit there, waiting for those who strayed to admit how wrong they were.

Well you can do that if you want, and I can't stop you, but it does defeat the purpose of the discussion...
