Newest version of hamachi has some known bugs. Download version 1.0.2.5, then your chances getting connected are better. You can get it here.

Nope, didn't work.. thanks for effort though mate! But I really don't understand what the problem could be! It has come to my intelligence that I'm behind a D-Link router Model DI-524. But isn't Hamachi supposed to go around that?

Do you have a "hidden" software firewall, like the windows one?

This error means your IP is blocked. Firewall or antivirus proggy cause those problems.

Do you have a folder named "games" as subfolder of your Heroes main folder?

Hi All!!

I see this topic is alive 4 years now so maybe someone or angelito can help me !

Me and my friend have problems with playing h3. Like many before us.
When we try via tcp/ip we cant find each other ip it says that is unable to connect. Yes we used external ip.
When we use hamachi we see each other host game but when trying to connect is says unable to join that session. We disabled firewalls so it must be  routers.
Then i tryed to play trough lan with my 2 computers at home and it works. All i must do is disable firewall on host machine and then my wife connect via her laptop.
So i am sure that me  and my friend have router problem.
I dont know how to forward port on my dlink 584t router.
In fact i know where the virtual server option is but when i try to open port 2300 to 2400 its ask me to write a  port map too??
WHAT IS A PORT MAP?
I didnt see any port map in your post angelito?
Maybe if u help me with that h3 will work for my friend and  me P
Thanks to all

I don't know what a port map is, sorry.
But when you are using hamachi, port forwarding isn't needed at all. Hamachi creates a virtual LAN with an own IP.

So you both should:
- download hamachi version 1.0.1.5, which is the best bug-free version. the newest hamachi version, especially 1.0.3 causes bugs while connecting.
- be sure to enter the IP shown on HAMACHI when trying to connect to your opponent via TCP/IP, and not your own external router IP (this wrong move happens a lot by new players!)
- Be sure you both use the same version of Heroes, resp. the latest upgrade of your versions.
- Be patient!

We did all of this before exept we didnt try to enter our ip when conecting to tcp/ip because we see each other in tcp/ip options when we have hamachi on !!

I can try run hamachi and then instead of joining friend game  enter ip from his hamachi. This is the only thing we didnt try yet.

And fod damn dlink 584t and his prt forwarding.   he had option from which port to which to forward but  imust enter port ap aswell (

P.S.  Angelito we try everything u say on hamachi. We did enter our hamacvhi  and external ip. Nothing works. We see each other room but cant connect!!
So it must be a router. I cant setup my dlink but i will try his speedtouch maybe i manage to forward port on his router.
BTW i tryed gamespy and did not works. I see u yesterday but u was afk

Maybe we can meet on Gamespy later. Router isn't interesting anymore when using hamachi. Seems something is wrong when u both try to connect through hamachi. When I am present ther (will be in around 30 minutes from now on), please contact me.

So is there any progress? We both could connect fine, while it seemed you failed with anybody else.

Any news?

Ohh... Still have a problem.
I have HMM 3.2 and hamachi 1.0.1.5 installed.
Ports TCP and UDP "connection through NAT" are picked and forwarded in DI-524 settings. They exist in firewall too, as opened.

"Connection via proxy" - picked "use browser settings".

Windows firewall is disabled.
Dr. Web is stopped.

I can join existing network, or create my own, but when I try to start a game and join host, i receive "IP not found". If me-host, my opponents receive messages that they can't join.

I already have no idea, what else I can do.

Important is, both use same version of hamachi, preferable version 1.0.1.5.

If you are on Gamespy the next days, we can meet and try. Just look up for me...same nick.

Try going to this website,http://www.whatismyip.com/ and see if the ip u gave him is the same.Although ur windows firewall must be off(or at least for Heroes).

I gave a try on gamespy but whatever I launch or join it says to check path and have error message. I use a cracked exe and my HoMM is not located in the regedit ( over years copied/pasted it from disk to disk). Of course I have the original but the disk got a scratch over 10 years of use and does not want to install anymore.

Any solution for this exe working or I really need to install it properly?
