The "storyline" of life

I have always wondered if our life on earth was meant to be anything special, like a movie or something. When i think about it, i realize that the only thing we do, is to repeat the things we do, like work.

Every day, people go to work, only to do the same thing over and over again. Doesn't that get a little TOO boring? Think about it.

Every day, people repeat things they usual do. I get quite bored to every morning wake up knowing i will have to do the same things today that i did yesterday.

Movies and games was created to make our lives a little bit easier to live, to create excitement. And the big problem with this is that we can't do a thing. Answer this question if you desire:

Are you pleased with your life, or would you like to create your own world, where you choose the rules, and where you shape history. Tell me what sort of person you are.

By the way...

Many of you may think i'm a frickin' lunatic (which i don't deny) or an brainwashed idiot (which i do not deny, either). Many of you may think i have serious psychical problems (i do not deny this either), or that i had a really mean childhood(this is true). Whatever you thinks about me i don't care(because i probably DO suffer from whatever mental sickness diagnosis you may give me).

Hey Neo,

Relax because this isn't ToH forum or some other chat forum on the internet where people bash you for your ideas and thoughts. This is a good place to voice your ideas. You may not get the responses you were looking for but if someone directly insults you or threatens you then they will be penalized by our excellent moderators.

So...there's no need disclaimer your thread with the "you may think I'm an idiot" clause. If someone here wants to post in your thread then they will. If they flame you in a manner that is against the rules then they will be penalized.

That's one of the reasons I like this forum. It's a place where the moderators actually pay attention.

As my current signature indicates, there are certainly some useful features which I think life is lacking.  Aside from the obvious pause button (stop the world!  I want to get off!), a reload feature would also be convenient. Personally, I would like to reload my savelife from mid-March, please, right at the beginning of Spring Break.

But that's just wishful thinking.  Life is what it is, and we make of it as we will.  If we want meaning, we have to go look for some ourselves or accept it from others.  There isn't any inherent Meaning of Life.

I think, the funny thing is there is NO meaning of life whatsoever. Absolutely nothing. Like you've fallen from the big blue sky and you have some time to be here and in the end you're gone again. Life's a stupid thing, huh?

[Now add some depressive feel] To me, it's just a bunch of chemicals getting together, chemical reactions, heat, energy, molecules... You're a mixture of compounds. Just like the ordinary cake you eat at home.

[...And a tone of optimism] the lucky thing is that those compounds somehow want to be happy, so in search of happiness, I offer you a Dalai-Lama advice: You cannot find happiness at the end of the road; try looking for it along the road. =)

Sure everyone's days are similar, but isn't it the differences that count?
The differences that make some days better than others?
The days that 'change your life'?
Even if you're young, which some members are suggesting, surely you have had some days that you'll always remember as being awesome?

Sounds, to me, like someone had a **cough** memorable night over spring break with someone they'd rather not have memories with.

Well, unless you're pregnant or got raped I think you'll live. If the sex was consentual then it's time to move on. Hey we all make mistakes sometimes. I guess that includes sleeping with someone we wish we hadn't. **** happens, you'll get over it.

He he. Consis, you're impossible.

I suppose the only thing that women can feel depressed about is sex.
Or maybe she just wants to reload because it felt good. (whatever "it" means)

silliness

May I ask why anyone would jump to the conclusion that my wish for "reload" has to do with sex?  Is it the timing?  (Shockingly enough, not all of us college kids have our Spring Break activities aired on MTV.  There still exists such a creature as a boring young adult.)  Is it regret?  Is it my gender?

I'm perplexed, as well as somewhat amused.  For all my personal annoyance regarding people who think they "know" me, I still managed to assume too much.

**sigh**

Fine, maintain your securely held mysteriousness. You're a real person just like everyone else. The guess I made was, in fact, a guess. It's, however, something that could have happened. Since you choose to remain so vague in your description I am left to keep guessing. Why am I guessing about your personal life? Could it be that I think you're an interesting person, heaven forbid? Come on, just tell us what it was that you wish you could have done differently. I HATE GUESSING! PLEASE WHAT HAPPENED? THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!

She might have meant *its going back in time. I might aswell get to a vacation part if I can.*
But I never thought about reasons why. I would assume -knowing the valadicity dose not exist- that she wants the relaxation and whatever else could come with a spring break.

If I were to chose a moment to go back to, it would be ON the plane coming home from the navy when I had 10 thousand dollars and only few imediate responsibilities.

consis, this is just a guess but mabey try to chill out with ladies of HC.

Neo: I belive our like 19. In anycase you are welcomed to HC ,and this is not a guess.

suspense?

My break wasn't as productive as it should have been.  I neglected to A) apply for summer interships and B) get a head start on my comprehensive exercise for college.  There are a number of other less-than-ideal choices I'd like to reverse throughout this term, which has been hell, and they are all equally fascinating to others.  That is to say, no one cares.  The idea of my original post was "Life needs a reload feature," because that's what others could relate to.

There's a reason I don't talk about my personal life.  It's boring.

Bah...

Your personal life boring? Right, whatever. Boring only because you have designated it to be such. I strongly disagree. I'm starting to think you're as stubborn as a mule.

Constantly I beg for details and consistently you respond with, "who cares". Ok here's some logic for you then. If I ask would it not suggest that I, at the very least, want to know? Ergo I am interested; ergo I am curious; ergo I care.

Come off it! Why is it that I and so many others find you to be interesting while you stubbornly defend your great degree of uninteresting-ness? If you don't want to tell us then say, "You guys back off! I'm not telling because it's my own private business and I much prefer to keep it that way!" But no, instead you beat about the proverbial bush with round about responses remaining firm with the excuse that you, according to you, are 'boring'.

How many times must I say this?!

YOU
ARE
NOT
BORING!

YOU'RE NOT BORING TO ME OR ANYONE ELSE!

YOU HEAR ME? NOT BORING!

I don't believe smart people can have boring "lives". You need 2 things to make your "life" happy. Wits and guts.
Khaelo's got the first one. I'm not sure about the second. lol
