Greatest Prime Minister ever?
Being a Swede, I would have to say Olof Palme. His tragic death marked a shift in swedish politics, and the demise of our ideals.

Well if we include PM's of all countries...
Churchill or Gladstone would be good candidates, with Churchill winning out by virtue of having the guts and skill to beat Hitler
Pointless, but funny fact, the British "Prime Minister" as a role began under George I. George, the then king was made so because he was the closest Protestant member of the Royal Family to the previous king, thus avoiding those with greater claim, but Catholic origins. George was German and had spent most of his life there to that point didn't speak a word of English, nor did he learn any great deal of it. The post of Prime Minister was begun so that a person from the Parliment would speak with George, ie it began as a translator's role!
