Tell me about it. I live in Italy and i remeber very well for how long and hard they kept talking about that. It seemed like the entire world have signed some anty-italy deal........loosers.
This time it wasnt so drastic.
They mostly blame the coach, and will most probably have him crucified or something when they came back .

Aniway, i dont give a poo poo about soccer so la la la la la.

Well you should have heard Jon Dahl Tommason after the game, he was definetly very dissapointed that we Denmark didnt win. The same was Morten Olsen the danish coach, who said we played a horrible game, which Im inclined to agree upon.
But from there to conspiracy just shows 2 things. Either your a very dissapointed Italian (Which can be excused) Or you have absolutely no clue about football whatsoever. To even begin to talk about conspiracy, Sweden should have scored immediatly after Jons second goal, and then the ball should have been played around for 30 min. Instead they scored 1 min before extra-time.
Beside 1-1 would also have been a conspiracy then, because that would have meant Italys exit aswell, considering they only managed to beat Bulgaria with one goal. And that was in 5 min extra time, hmmm weird eh?.
Besides if you really wanna talk about conspiracy, its strange that Totti only got 3 days suspension, considering the last time UEFA ruled in a spitting contest they gave 8 days suspension. Talk about getting of light.

Regards

I already wrote that I watched more than 3 of LAST games of the swedish soccer team. It means automaticly I also've seen the game SWE-DEN on Euro2004. And that what I've seen and that what I didn't've seen in that game makes we think - both teams played to reach the 2:2 final score.

I guess we all know the pro and contra and I guess we agree that we won't ever agree at this point.

I just repeat once again to both of You Steven and Defreni. It's not about Italy, or abuot your opinion what a Polish soccer fan may think or feel or what you think how a game looks like, wich score was set before the game even started.

It's all about sportmanship. This word should be quickly translated into swedish and danish.

for a "football fan" i must say you seem to have a very low knowledge on football.

its as easy as this, if you agree on playing 2-2.. denmark wouldnt have attacked. They just would have defended. As already stated several times...which would be as many times as you seemed to have "missed it", Isaksson pulled off 2-3 world class saves when we were 2-1 down. Wouldnt that just have been alittle to risky for playing for a certain result?

My problem lies within there is no logic whatsoever in what you say. All i see is a poor loser that starts blaming everything now when he finally gets a chance

Dont feel sad though, maybe youll make WC 2006.. if you manage to stay away from us that is lol

Long time since i saw this obvious lack of reason, what you all seem to be saying basically is that 2-2 was a set up result. But you have no reason whatsoever behind it, and cant back it up from anything from the game itself.

So what you basically think then is that whatever the game would have been like 2-2 wouldnt have been an acceptable result?

So when we were 2-1 down then and would have missed the quarterfinals we should have just have given up because we could get the "forbidden result"?.

lol... get a friggin idea and stop believing all the italian media BS.

Who really cares. As it would appear to me, all of Europes "big guns" of football played like $hit! France knocked out by Greece, Italy didnt make it, Spain didnt make it and england got nocked out by Portugal who seem to be the only big name team still left. Czhec republic is under rated. They are a very good side. If you ask me all Europes big name teams need to stop thinking they are the best and wake up. France certainly got that wake up against Greece.

On a completely different note, anyone see the Sweden and Holland game???

ok...

Whether there was a conspiracy or not, it will not been known. However, think of it like this

Your a Dane/Swedish player and a loss could mean that u might not get through. So they would have both been fighting to get through. Ok and now think of the 89 min or whenever Sweden equalised, and pretend u were a dane player. would u try extra hard to stop the goal, assuming that u would definately get through, or would u put in a half hearted effort, believing u would have a better chance against Sweden then italy if u were to meet later on in the tournament?

I didn't watch the game, but it was described to me in great detail after ward. The funniest thing was that the night before the game, i read an article in the paper. It was talking about italys chances of qualifying, and it even had rumours of so called meetings between the two coaches (denmark and sweden). it said that a 2-2 draw or more would be enough to knock italy out. I laughed to myself thinking the world had gone crazy, and why would 2 countries fix a game of soccer? at that moment, i still believed italy would go through with Sweden. Then to wake up next morning, and find out that italy had been knocked out, and it ended up being a 2-2 draw, i just couldn't stop laughing.

Hey that might not be the only conspiracy (if there was one). What about the non-allowed goal in the English game? The goalie was not touched. There was even a photo, yet he fell, and the goal was disallowed.

I might be a Italy supporter, but i do think it is suspicious that they drew. However, im not a sore loser, Italy played crap, and lost just like anybody else would. The coach made some horrible decisions, non worse then taking off italys attacking players to make a more defensive side after half time against the Swedes. We were destroying them, sweden very lucky to be only a goal down. if he had left them on, italy would have put sweden to bed. but it wasn't to be.

I watched the repeat. It was a totally borrring match. Just as boring as the France vs Greece match. But the Dutch beat the Swedes in penalty, so Holland's through to Semis. And they'll go against Portugal.

France vs Greece boring?!
Seeing the european champion lose from a newbie, yeah, guess that's the most boring thing I've ever seen. :/

Holland vs. Netherlands boring?!
Man, the penalties! They woke me up from any boredom motivated sleep I might have had before. But even the regular game was not boring, just those two werent really one of my favs.

OK now. Two days of rest and then we have:
Greece vs Chzec Republic
Netherlands vs Portugal

I remain faithful to my favorite (after Spain got kicked out)- the Chzecs. But will be happy if Greece wins too.

in my opinion, the dutch team was in control untill the second over-time. the sweden team got better chances, which they let slip away too, it might because they were tring too hard.

about the czech-denmark game, i missed it...:<

Dont worry u didn't miss much
3-0 - the danes were slaughtered by a much better team. I now believe that Czech will win Euro 2004.

although i thought that it would have been italy, then france, then sweden, and now go Czech! (if they lose my money is on greece. unless they lose then my money is on portugal.)

Is there really no one that can kich that antifootball team out of the tournament?

P.S. Poland won with Greece in a game just before the EC. Does it mean we're the real Europen Champions?

If u say so then the real champions are russians, because upto now they are the only team who have won over greece during euro 2004.
