I only have the greatest hits and Night at the Opera ones. There are so many good bands that I usually have to buy the greatest hits, and later get the original albums when I have more money. I think you can agree, some of the better music is the stuff on the original CD's.
VH1 (who still is a music channel... MTV sucks! ) had this as there top 10 songs of all time:
10) Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze (should be higher)
9) Beatles - Hey Jude (not the Beatle's best work...)
8) Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (again, higher)
7 Steppenwolf - Born to be Wild (eeeh)
6) Eagles - Hotel California
5) Nirvana - Smells like Teen Spirit
4) Micheal Jackson - Bille Jean (what the hell is this doing here?)
3) Lynerd Skynerd - Free Bird
2) McClean - American Pie
1) Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven (yeah!)
These were actually the top 10 voted on by the fans, the ones VH1 had as there top ten were similar, but different. They had "Satisfaction" as one, "Respect" as two, and "Stairway" as three. I don't think "Rhapsody" was even in the top 20. Around 30 I think. I trust the fans more than I trust VH1's critics.
Thought you would find that interesting.

Yeah... Bohemian Rhapsody...
I almost memorized the whole text. But I just don't remember a couple of words, so I always stop there. I think it goes like this:
Is this the real life,
Is this just fantasy?
Cought in a landslide.
No escape from reality....

there can be only one
and the answer is quite simple. Album for album, song for song, it's undoubtably Judas Priest.
Of course, my opinion might be a wee bit biased

Well, Ozzy, did you know you can change the MP3's from the game? I'm no more listening to the game's music, not in battles. Now, when I engage a stack of creatures, I hear Deftones or Korn, depending on the terrain .
Well, I am very happy to see this thread about Music. I'll mention i few bands i like:
1. Soundgarden
2. Pearl Jam
3. Alice in Chains
4. Led Zeppelin ( of course )
5. Rage Against the Machine
The Clash, Mudhoney, Jethro Tull, Korn, Deep Purple, Faith No More, Neil Young...
Let's say I really enjoy good music

Hmmm Judas Priest(new) is always good to listen to when you play... no matter what song or where you are in the game(castle, battle, terrain).

Okay, here's my entry: Velvet Underground. Even though Lou's solo stuff was better, the thread is best band, so that disqualifies him.
I guess the best newer band would be the Dropkick Murphy's

I don't have.. but this is my favorite song.
There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea
You became the light on the dark side of me
Love remains a drug gets me high, not the pill
Did you know that when it snows my eyes become enlarged
And the light that you shine can be seen
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey
The more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom, a light hits the gloom on the grey
There is so much a man can tell you, so much he can say
You remain my power, my pleasure, my pain, baby
To me you're like a growing addiction that I can't deny
Won't you tell me is that healthy, babe?
But did you know that when it snows, my eyes become enlarged
And the light that you shine can be seen
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey
The more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom, a light hits the gloom on the grey
I've been kissed by a rose on the grey, I've been kissed by a rose
I've been kissed by a rose on the grey
(If I should fall would it all go away?)
There is so much a man can tell you, so much he can say
You remain my power, my pleasure, my pain
To me you're like a growing addiction that I can't deny
Won't you tell me is that healthy, babe
But did you know, that when it snows, my eyes become enlarged
And the light that you shine can be seen
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey
The more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom, a light hits the gloom on the grey
YES! I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey
The more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom, a light hits the gloom on the grey
Now that your rose is in bloom, a light hits the gloom on the grey................

Um...yeah. Why Seal? Why? You could have picked Eagle Eye Cherry if you wanted good mainstream pop. At least his head seemed to be out of the clouds.
Anyway, the only band I've seen live was Yes, and that was just two weeks ago. Their stage setup sucks, but dear God....can they ever play. Hell, even Jon Anderson threw in a little bit of backup percussion.
Question: how the hell do you rip the music off the Heroes2 disc? I can't seem to do it with my version of RealJukebox.

Songs with Memories.
Call it Memories.. OR maybe i starting to like older songs again.. I really hate the Music of today.. I hate Rap and R&B that infest the radio and MTV and TMF CHANNELS... What happen't to the normal music? I hope Eminem will get an accident.. I really hate him.
Coolio Gangsta paradise.
As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I take a look at my life and realize there's not much left
coz I've been blastin and laughin so long, that
even my mama thinks that my mind is gone
but I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it
me be treated like a punk you know that's unheard of
you better watch how you're talking, and where you're walking
or you and your homies might be lined in chalk
I really hate to trip but i gotta, loc
As I Grow I see myself in the pistol smoke, fool
I'm the kinda G the little homies wanna be like
on my knees in the night, saying prayers in the streetlight
been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
keep spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
keep spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
They got the situation, they got me facin'
I can't live a normal life, I was raised by the stripes
so I gotta be down with the hood team
too much television watching got me chasing dreams
I'm an educated fool with money on my mind
got my 10 in my hand and a gleam in my eye
I'm a loc'd out gangsta set trippin' banger
and my homies is down so don't arouse my anger, fool
death ain't nothing but a heartbeat away,
I'm living life, do or die, what can I say
I'm 23 now, but will I live to see 24
the way things are going I don't know
Tell me why are we, so blind to see
That the one's we hurt, are you and me
been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
Power and the money, money and the power
minute after minute, hour after hour
everybody's running, but half of them ain't looking
what's going on in the kitchen, but I don't know what's kickin'
they say I gotta learn, but nobody's here to teach me
if they can't undersstand it, how can they reach me
I guess they can't, I guess they won't
I guess they front, that's why I know my life is out of luck, fool
been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
Tell me why are we, so blind to see
That the one's we hurt, are you and me

I'm still not really here...
Blind Guardian and Opeth are my favorite bands of the present day. There, I finally answered the question instead of just dodging the issue.
Oddly enough, the Queen/Blind Guardian similarities became more apparent.
BG's upcoming album will be called "A Night at the Opera"...

Dear God, I think I've found a musical twin. I knew about Opeth, now Blind Guardian. Next thing I know, you'll tell me you're into Dream Theater and Rush! *LOL*
Speaking of new albums, both Rush and DT are due new albums this year. Dream Theater, being the musical excesses that they are (and I love 'em for it!) are putting out a double CD of studio material, one of which is a 45-minute suite. Yeah, one CD is a multi-part suite.
Rush, while I'm not a big fan of much of anything past Signals, hasn't put any studio material out since '97. Since then, the drummer has lost his immediate family. I'm really looking forward to see how and if his music reflects that...
