Aquiring Gems

I have noticed an inconsistency with the buildings in H3
that when attacked, give resources. Specifically, there
is no building that will give you gems. Let me be more
specific:

When attacking an Imp Cache, you get mercury. Since imps
are Inferno creatures, it makes sense that you get mercury,
because you need loads of mercury in Inferno.

The same applies with the Dwarven Treasury wich gives you
crystal. Dwarves are Rampart creatures, and Rampart requires
loads of crystal.

Same again with the Medusa Stores. It gives you sulfur and
medusas are Dungeon creatures, and in Dungeon you need
loads of sulfur to build the beautiful dragon cave :-)

BUT, the Naga Bank, gives sulfur TOO. My initial belief
was that since Nagas are Tower creatures, the Naga Bank
should give gems instead of sulfur.

I do know that the Leprechaun gives 50% 500 gold
and 50% 5 gems (correct me if I am wrong). And yes, the
Cyclops Cave will also give you a bit from all resources.

I am also aware of the fact that the Titans dwelling
requires fewer precious resources than other level 7
dwellings. However the Angels dweling in Castle also
requires gems, and loads of them too.

So why the Naga Bank does not give gems?

 Cheers,

 cym

If I'm not mistaken its  abug that naga banks give sulfur instead of gems...

but you are WRONG, titan dwelling costs the most specific ressource than any other building. Now giant building cost something like the least.

Darn...!

yes, maniac you're right, the *cost* of the Titans
dwelling is low (5000 gold) not the amount of resources
it requires :-)

So if Naga Bank giving sulfur is a bug, how come they
did not fix it after countless of patches and expansion
packs? Hmmmm... Could it be they did it on purpose when
they were tweaking and balancing the game?

I don't know
To my knowledge, the GIANT building costs 5000 gold, some gems and some ore & wood. The TITAN upgrade costs 25000 gold and 30 gems. You can also aquire gems from Lean-to and Windmills. Fountain of Fortune building from Rampart town can also generate it. As for the Naga Banks - I just don't know

Ive no idea why this little fault was never fixed. It can be fixed in a second. I already did it, and in German league i made some games with it, while of course informing opponent that the banks now give gems instead of sulfur.

Xarfax1, I was wondering how did you fix this? Could I
use a hex editor, open a specific file in a specific
location and "patch" it myself? Any help would be greatly
appreciated :-)

I understand that you want to "patch" heroes so the naga bank will not give sulfur ?

Want help from a 15 year old professional ?

Well, I would not mind fixing this so that when I play with friends the game is more balanced, but if no one can help it doesn't really matter. It's not *that* important :-)
