As for Frostish, in my opinion, the finger is pointed at the wrong side. All I see is an upsetting mob lynching, and Frostish proved good self control, given the constant contemptuous unveiled personal attacks he is getting, sometimes as first answer and unprovoked.

No. I don't believe in that lynching pack phenomenon, it's merely a series of unilateral reactions he provokes in most people.

Because I don't think it's the mentality of any member here to go for lynches against anyone, what has to be thought is why people react that way towards him.

We're all so different it's hard to form groups against individuals here. I for myself never suffered any antagonizing despite being quite different from the "classical" HC member (from most of you at all to be honest, I must be the only member who still doesn't know how alcohol tastes), is there any anyway? It's not the members, it's their behaviour. If really people here enjoyed lynching, I would be the first one to complain. They are merely reacting, which is human after all. If he suddenly "fixed" his way of posting everybody including me would start enjoying him just like we enjoy each other, again, despite our enormous differences. We make efforts that's it. We're mature enough to accept and respect each other. That's the good thing with this community, it's just that sometimes some members don't make that effort.

Now how to deal with that, I'm OK with you, when you don't like a speech, you stay silent. That's what I do.

I tasted it the first time when I was very young and the latest time I tasted it was some ~10 years ago and it tasted horrible every time, so in my opinion you're not missing out on anything nice.

You realize it's not candy, right? People don't consume it for the taste. There's a learning curve to drinking, at first it will taste terrible and if you take even just a little more than you should, you will mess up real good. That phase usually ends in teenage years quickly. Then, it will start to taste refreshing (not necessarily delicious unless it's something like Bailey's etc.) and you will learn to adjust the effect it has on you. That part is not much different than someone gradually getting used to be on a boat and not getting seasick anymore and enjoying the ocean view.

Well, most people will feel sick if their first time on board is in a stormy weather and most people will feel sick if they drink too much as a beginner. So, I stick by my analogy.

I don't care, to be honest. This time it was the statue of Liberty, next time it might be the Taj Mahal, and then the Great Pyramids of Egypt. You still don't grasp the picture: you received the penalty for the rather extremely detailed sexual activities you described. By the CoC rules 2 and 3, those are forbidden:

Quote:
2) NO bad language, profanity, vulgarity or swearing.
Correctly censored vulgar words may be used, but not for insults, abuse, racism, sexism, provocation or aggravation.
Correct censoring means replacing all letters in the vulgar words with asterisks by holding the SHIFT key and pressing the number 8 key (US keyboards). For example: when **** hit the fan. Any other method of censoring vulgar words partially or entirely will be considered incorrect censoring and may be penalized. Actual or misspelled vulgar words will be penalized immediately.
Our aim is to keep Heroes Community children and family friendly. Instead of blurting out vulgarity, take it as a creative challenge to find alternative words to express strong emotions.
Other languages: posts or public profile settings in languages other than English may be removed without notice, as moderators often have no easy way of verifying whether they contain a breach of Heroes Community Code of Conduct.

3) NO pornography, illegal software, warez, hacks, cracks, keygens or related discussion.
This includes discussing game information that is protected under Ubisoft's Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

How much clearer do you want it?

And for the record, I only silenced you to keep the topic from exploding any further than it already did. Corribus then took over independently from me by closing the topic and assigning the -QP, especially since you were warned about similar posts three months before, when you spammed various topics about certain rubber utensils.

Quote:
Because I've said those exact same things countless times, and was never penalised or silenced for it.

I wasn't a moderator back then, or I would have called you upon it then, too. Just like I would call any member on it. Heck, I even called Elvin on the one which initiated the rubber utensil topic, except Corribus was ahead of me there already before I could conclude it with Elvin.

Angelito +
Alas, time has come to say a grateful Mod Squad farewell to one of our longest-serving moderators - Angelito.

Angelito joined the Mod Squad in the end of 2004 and has been moderating the Library of Enlightenment for over 12 years, sharing his passion for Heroes 3 and the finer details of strategy, looking after the treasured library of knowledge and helping new heroes on their way to tactical mastery.

Aside from this Angelito also moderated MapHaven guild for 12 years, kept a watchful eye in WOG and Turban Tribunal for 8 years, moderated WCL Tournament and Newcomers Inn, helped out in OSM and dealt with many troublemakers over the years.
Now Angelito returns his sword to spend more time with his family.

On behalf of myself, Mod Squad and the community I express gratitude and appreciation for your service and contribution to HC, Angelito. You are going down in HC history as one of our main moderators and I appreciate the countless hours you've put in over the last decade into shaping Heroes Community into a good place that it is. RL is always a greater priority but we hope to still see you around as a mortal member

VokialBG +
Sadly, the Mod Squad is saying one more goodbye today. VokialBG has gone missing some time ago and communication attempts have been unsuccessful so with much regret I must recall his mod sword.

VokialBG has served the Heroes Community for quite some time, moderating the Modders Workshop for 9 years and Dimension Gates for 8 years. Of course that is only a tiny part of his life as a Vampire, but quite a decent term in human years
Vokial's passion is modding and I really appreciate the thoroughness and precision of his moderating approach. Until his disappearance the forums that he looked after were always in good hands and I am very grateful for his long service and contribution to the modding corner of Heroes Community.

From his latest posts it was clear that Vokial was facing some difficulties in life, which are likely the reason for his departure, and I hope that he is well. If you are reading this some time later, Vokial, it would be great to hear from you. You are always welcome at HC and your generous service to the forums will be remembered.

We are also saying goodbye to the WCL Tournament forum. The WCL system is still active but hasn't been updated for a long time and the its administrator SAG confirmed that he is tied up with other commitments.

The posts of the WCL forum are being preserved in the Library and can be accessed using this link. The WCL discussion can still continue, just make sure that you put "WCL:" in the beginning of your thread subject in the Library when you make a WCL-related post to ensure that anyone can put "WCL" in the forum search box (top right corner of forum view) to bring up all WCL-related discussions.

Now it is time to announce the new.

For a first time in a long time Heroes Community is getting a new forum - the Summoners Academy. This forum will be dedicated to Creature Quest - a mobile device game published by a team that includes some of the key creators of the HOMM series. The game has been growing in popularity and the level of discussion now justifies a separate forum, which was already being requested by a few enthusiastic HC members. In addition to this, an official representative will soon be making an appearance on the new forum.

We also have a new moderator joining the Mod Squad today. Galaad is giving up his stars and receiving his mod sword, undertaking stewardship of Modders Workshop, Summoners Academy and Newcomers Inn. Welcome to the Squad, Galaad, and I trust that you will wield your mod sword responsibly and contribute to keeping Heroes Community the welcoming, creative and peaceful place that it is.

The existing Mod Squad members are stepping in to cover the gaps left by the departure of Angelito and Vokial:
Maurice is now the moderator of Library of Enlightenment and a co-moderator of the Wake of Gods forum.
Corribus is now the moderator of MapHaven Guild and Dimension Gates.

What you and the regulars don't know is my personal experience with Galaad that goes beyond this forum. But let's not spoil his moment. After all, HC itself might benefit from it.

You didn't follow the Maya / Inca doctrine, right? Offer blood to the blood god to make the sun rise every day!

But seriously, everything that once began, will eventually have an end. But also, every end is a new beginning. I'm sorry to see Angelito and Vokial go, but when reallife takes over, it's for the best.
