Welcome VokialBG as the new moderator of the Modders Workshop! 
Thanks to everyone else who applied. If we haven't selected you, it doesn't mean that we don't think you'd make a good mod, we just had several good candidated to choose from  So you are most welcome to apply when we have another moderator opening and we are keeping you in mind.

Gadi's crazy proposal for new modship
This wastelands discussion raised many interesting points. It will be deleted soon, but I would like to post my ideas here.
Those suggestions are quite crazy but efficient. Just write what would you like to see and what not. Use the number. For example: "I agree with 1 and 4." Reasoning is always good.
1. Another Admin
When all the responsibility that an admin has is on one person, it might be a bit hard. I think that it will be better not to put all the eggs in one basket. Since Val is a busy person, there are long times that he isn't around. If we have another admin, it might be easier, not only for us, but for Val as well. Perhaps Pan, Angelito, MM, or someone else?
2. Three moderators per a forum
Working again according to "don't put all the eggs in one basket", it might be good to have more mods, even if it doesn't feel that necessary or urgent, it will have a positive influence around the community, don't you think?
3. Yearly Refreshment
Once per a year, a discussion at the HQ will be opened to discuss the changes. Then the mods will decide together what should happen. Mods will swap forums, mods which are not longer interested in modding will choose who they want instead of them, new mods might be added, and new forums will be considered. All the changes will be done at once.
4. Monthly moderators' feedback
Every month, the mods of each forum will decide together what is the best thread of the month in their forum, who was the best poster, etc. The list will be posted at the feedback thread. This may incourage activity in the forum, but might also create competition. If the competition becomes unhealthy, this can be stopped for a while.
I think that those changes can really boost the activity around here, and make our community even more enjoyable place to be in.

I'm willing to accept point 4 as long as the mods don't give Qps to the best posters. That would a) make the competion unhealthy b) give Qps to possibly uncontributive posts.

1. Another Admin is not really needed, in my opinion. The Forum has enough mods that can maintain the forum. The only time that another Admin might be needed is if the server was to crash or if there was a feature that needed to be implemented. The forum is going quite good even though Valeriy isn't here too often, don't you think?
2. I have found that Pandora was made a Moderator of some forums such as Wake of Gods, HOMM Mod Workshop etc. I don't think it was really needed, in my opinion, since those forums are not as active as, say, The Tavern or the VW. Modders Workshop is active and has a moderator, Vokial, who I see at times and he seems to be doing a good job.
Now take Other Games for an example. Now even with Mightymage as the only moderator there, you must say that it does seem to be doing quite well, don't you think? Take the Library as well. That has had Angelito there for a long time as the only moderator and it does quite fine. He gives out penalties where needed, he gives out QP's where needed and he deletes or moves threads when it is needed.
3. I disagree. Say for example if I was a moderator of Tavern which is something I like to post in, but then I was moved to the Temple of Ashan, something which I hardly post in or have any knowledge of. It wouldn't really be a wise choice to be a moderator of something which you aren't too comfortable or familiar with now is it?
I think new moderators should be added only when they need to be added. If the forum gets a massive activity boost and the current mods can't cope, then add some new ones. If the forum is going fine with what it has then it should just stay the same, in my opinion. Mods can be added but I really don't know if it would really be worth it.
And if a moderator was to choose who they would want to be a mod if they are no longer interested, then wouldn't that be against some of the Moderator CoC? I mean, aren't moderators supposed to be neutral? I think that a moderator should be added to the forum where the current mod would resign only if they are familiar with the forum and they post there a lot. Would it be a wise choice to put somebody as a moderator in a forum where they have never posted in? Sure they can uphold the CoC and give out QP's or penalties, but the giving out QP's would be rather tough since they wouldn't know what is quality and what isn't since they may not know what the poster is talking about.
4. I think there should be a best thread or best poster of the month, but that shouldn't be the moderators job of deciding. The members should decide and then tell the moderator of the specific forum.
This is all just my opinion of course.

Yes, it's okay now. But again, it could be much better with an admin's activity. Another admin might give it.

LOL, what makes you think that a Tavern mod will be put at the Temple? The swapping has to be rational. For example, switching the Tavern's mod with the VW's mod, switching the Altar's mod with the Temple's, etc.

Obviously the most popular poster will be chosen, and not always the best one.
