Your words are kind and tending, Father, and I thank you for these. I, myself am not sure whether i deserve that honor. I haven't proven anything yet...
Yet, I'm having positive feedback, from Will, GL, Mvass, Father... They seem to have fate with me, for some reason I cannot see.
Maybe I will be a good mod, but my fear to fail is present here. The fear to dissappoint. The only thing that I can guarantee, is that my sub-forum/board will have an explosion of +QPs during my first week of modding.
As for the Shinies, I don't see it as a problem. I always wanted to have eleven (my lucky number). I do not desire to have more. This is true. Should I become a Moderator, I will not lose them, so that's not a real issue for me, no. ^^ Besides, if I get de-modded, I get them back anyway.
As for a Moderator, I think that I'll be like Mytical or maybe Elvin (though a lot less awesome ^^). Not that bad at all, I guess.
Either way, my application will not be for this month. I'll do so, and only do so, when I'm ready, if I ever am ready at all. Not sooner.
The feedback is positive from now on, but I'm sure that some members (should I give names) may not be in favor of modding me. I'd like to hear their voice as well, as I cannot believe that I'm a good role-model at all.

God, the way you guys gush over a recommendation from another user for being "good mod material", you'd think you were being nominated to the presidency...

I suggest we organize a mortal combat tournament, have them fight it out to the death and the lone survivor becomes a mod. Pop corn and coke is on me

Hmm my vote is for pulling names from a hat, feeding that person to a volcano. Repeat till only 1 name in the hat. But I like yours better Elvin. Chaos would like the volcano thing tho.
Wait! Can we feed the loosers of the deathmatch to the volcano? Even better!

Isn't the whole thing pretty simple? Hand over the OSM to TheDeath AND Mvass to be moderated by both of them. Of course you might have to create a new OSM under another name then, but the result might still be something worth to watch.

Something else. Look at what the thread is about and consider what you are posting. It's not a popularity contest neither a place to ask for yay or nay, it's a thread to announce changes in the modsquad. If you want feedback better stick to hcm, keep this thread clean please.
Also do keep in mind that being a moderator is not just a perk, an upgrade to your membership. It is a serious job that requires free time, clear head and a neutral perspective. You will have to read every single post in the subforum you are appointed at, keep a consistency in the quality points handed out, resolve arguments, deal with troublemakers, clear unnecessary posts and generally be a role model for others. Ask yourself if you will have the time or enthusiasm to post for fun like you used to.
