From what I gather, mods of the OSM slowly become disheartened as they see again and again that the threads are slowly breaking down into mindless bickering. It seems to take a good dash of optimism and apathy (wait, wut?) to be able to survive modship of this horrible horrible place.

ThE_HyDrA is officially stepping down from his AOH and HC positions. His contributions are too many to list, as he did a huge amount of work with me that made the resurrection of AOH in 2005 possible. We literally churned out hundreds of pages for HOMM 1 through 4, also with significant contribution from Lich_King. ThE_HyDrA also contributed a lot to the HOMM5 section of AOH, both before and after Sfidanza brought his innovations to the site. On HC ThE_HyDrA moderated the Heroes 4 and 5 forums and the Altar of Wishes, as well as being involved in the original ICTC. I'm not sure if I would have revived AOH if it wasn't for him.
So, a big and personal thanks to you, Hydra  All the best with your PhD, and pop in to visit us sometimes!
You're already on top of the QP list through your quality posts from years ago, but as the custom goes here are some more honorary stars

Yea The Hydra has done so much for us.

Maybe I'm newbie for HC but I remember when I found AOH in the late 2005 during the H5 develop process. Hydra every day published something - information, screenshots, etc. Great job.
