Not so simple; just not good with tossing. About sprucing up the Tavern, I'm thinking up some ideas. Maybe another fun story thread or something. And hopefully something with minimal spam.

Whether or not the Tavern sucks depends on you, the posters. If you feel it's stagnating, then think of something to do to counter that.
Also, I think it would be best to let the thread develop a bit before taking any QP action. Threads in which the topic creator is awarded early are notorious for dying early as well.

You know what we used to have heaps of and many variations of, but not any more.
TPAM threads. they would have gone out to 100 pages if mods didnt close them off for re-opening.

I FriendofGunnar have to confess that out of all the people who have picked on TNT over the years last few months, I have been one of the cleverest worst.
As a way to compensate for that and to atone for my past I would like nominate TNT for a QP for all his fine work in this thread right here Member Spotlight

And I've almost forgot about our last encounter and the deleting of my thread, it would take some more weeping for me to get over that big a loss...
