When I play Heroes, I mostly listen to the Heroes soundtracks. There used to be some exceptions, however. For example, when I discovered the wonderful Combat Theme from Age of Wonders II, I replaced the HoM&M3 combat tracks with it and enjoyed it. However, this didn't last long.

Sorry if this is more of a dead thread, but this was in the Table of Contents, and I just couldn't help but reply.
I've been looking all over the internet for the Rampart theme to download. Maybe if I could get my hands on the soundtracks on both 2 and 3. . . .
Putting the game CD in a CD player? Never heard of that before, but I think I'll give it a try.
Edit: The first track was always fuzzy, but the only one where I could get all of the tracks was HoMM 2.

Heroes 1: A. Sorceress Town, B. Barbarian Town
Heroes 2 (POL): A. Wizard Town, B. Knight Town
Heroes 3: A. Rampart Town

I think that in Heroes 2 and 3 is really great music,Im listening to the mp3 even when Im not playing it.

install h3, open h3 folder, find a folder called "Music" and copy out all the files inside! :-)

Never thought of that. . . . . .
If I could find out how to get an MP3 ripper and get ALL of the Heroes 1-3 tracks, I'll make a site with all of them avalible for download. (And I actually intend to do it and complete it, and there really aren't very many Heroes sites on the web as far as I see.)
Edit: Any/All help would be appreciated of course.

3&4 soundtracks
From Homm 3 soundtrack I think best was Fortress and Necropolis. From HOMM 4 best were Stronghold and nature

I hear on everything from Rock to Metal when playing Heroes III
But sometimes I want to hear on the music from the game
I love Stonghold- and Necromusic.

You don't have to play Heroes with other music, you must play other games with Heroes's music. I played FIFA with Heroes V Music.

Price of Loyalty
Hello! I know this thread has long-been inactive but I'm trying to find music from Heroes II Price of Loyalty: expansion. I already have the complete musical track for the original Heroes II, if, in case, someone wants them. I can't find them anywhere online and for some reason, I can't download the music from the Russian website posted above (Either that or I can't understand the Russian instructions!). Any or all help would be widely appreciated! Thanks!

MP3 song that H3 is NOT playing
Hi there,
Yes - I am a big fan of H songs. This is what got me interested in games in early 90's (that wonderful barbarian town harpsycord track... Oh God...).
But here is what is biting me currently: I downloaded a great song I knew from a Neverwinter Nights mod (Aielund Saga), called 'spellbound'. Even though it says 'mp3', when i rename it to DIRT, it is not being played! I even used some music-converting software to turn it into mp3, in case it werent... Nothing! I tested this against another Aielund song (their main theme) and renaming this mp3 to DIRT makes it playable.
Can anyone help me? I can send the song (1,5 Mb)... That would help me a lot.
And since we're on this issue, here's something else I'd love to have in H3 playable mp3:
- H1 barbarian town track;
- Necromancer city track, but this one (I think from PoL):
