You mean to say there was no alternative but to throw a huge bomb on thousands of people ( who probably were all innocent ). Do I see a resemblance of what happened in Russia just a few days ago? Is that the Russians fault?..And what about the WTC? Is that the fault of Americans themselves?
I'm curious as to how you stand on these things..
During wartime, one of your citizens is worth an infinite number of there's. The alternative to using our nuclear weapons was to invade which would have lead to many US deaths which is unacceptable when there is another method that doesn't involve US casualties. Truman made the right decision. Bush isn't nuking anyone, but if North Korea attacked a US establishment, I would support the erradication of Pyongyang without a second thought. It's naive to think that peace solves anything.
