sure water....mass cure is one of the most helpfull spells in the game......at least i think so..

I think water is a good idea though I am looking for logistics or earth. Too bad I have so much defense. Makes armorer less useful.

if was earth i woulda took, but as it is, adv path may help me more just now.

I chose water magic, mainly because I wont need advanced pathfinding just yet, not on most random templates at least

arrgh...

with swamp as native uve already eleminated the biggest reduction per tile (-175)to -100, and with basic path u eleminated another one to -100, only 2 other grounds left that are already down to -125 (almost no reduction).

Water is very important for fortress, so hell next time take it!

Have you ever noticed how the Tazar, Marius, Hack, Jenova and the liking usually are forced to take their skills of expertise upon levelling to level 2 and then how its roulette russe for the third skill ?  I hardly ever have a nice/easy skills build with them.

on an xl/under map you will have time to get earth and log skills later, and exp water pays off with large armies and blessing fortress troops has a big effect, so u did the right thing.

On a smaller map eg L no under, i'd prolly take the risk and level up pathfinding again.

80% THE TIME I WOULD PICK AD-PATHFINDING.
EVEN IF I PICKED BASIC WATER IT WOULD BE FOR THE SAKE OF BLESS, NOT HEAL.
