I'm not really huge on reading rules and FAQ's because they tend to lack all the visual special effects I like, hence I would like to endorse a PoQ for an outstanding guy, I pretty much vauch for him, he has always been there for me even though I'm not the easiest guy to get along with and his post is pretty much going to save at least three guys from a gruesome death which is def worthy....

I endorse Meroe, Selcy, Duke F and Mac for a QP, not for a post of some sort but simply because they do contribute and the whole system of QP's is not a realistic one, back who knows when you Mod's went all crazy with QP's, these days nobody can't get a QP ?? Who says a QP must be for some Einstein-like quote ? If someone is doing good, let them have their limits lifted off...
And yes I am being serious for once.
P.S. the fact I have mentioned only four members doesn't mean I don't find many of you others as worthy/contributing, it just means that you are above 3 QP's, that's all.

I anti-endorse. None of them have posted anything QP-worthy in the OSM. I see no reason why they should have the limit removed.

Oh wow, I didn't realize we were in the running for the Noble Peace Prize.
Keep your precious qp's. I'd much rather log on to HC to have a pleasant time than to wonder if I'm imparting words of wisdom to the so-called intelligensia. I won't lose sleep over it.

If you really want to improve things, you should be HCMing val and asking him to please appoint some new mods. This is better than hoping one of the remaining semi-active mods to award QPs for no reason. Just my 2 cents.
EDIT: Hmmm, I didn't mean that in a nasty way but that's the way it sounds. What I meant was - rather than soliciting a mod in an unrelated forum for QPs, you should be trying to get Val to appoint more mods so deserving people in other forums can get QPs, too.

Now now people no need to brand people who don't instantly go "hell yeah shower them with QPS!!" the way people mostly do... Whenever someone says "no that's not QP worthy" and the discussion ensues people always throw up the "man don't take them so seriously it's just a pixel", "you care too much/only about QPs", etc. etc. and that's not fair.
It is good that we have these discussion when the subject of "QPs" is brought up because it keeps them from just becoming some random element of the forum. The whole fora boni thing that are tied to them is a bit problematic at times but I believe Corribus suggestion is the solution to that issue. But QPs are a good thing. Sure occasionally people may take them too seriously but that's the exception. Going by how often people throw the accusation arround one would believe half of us are QP hungry scoundrels (which we of course are but secretly).
No the QPs are a very unique and charming feature. Just be patient most of the people running low on them really deserve a few but the mods are either a rare sight or the fora don't encourage QP/are the VW (not that you can't get a QP there but you'd have to seriously kicka$$...only a select few have managed so far).
So please just because someone objects to a QP it doesn't neccesarily make them obsessed with QPs.

You see its negative comments like this that leave newbie's somewhat intimidated and worried about joining threads, participating and commenting .... because their posts are somehow 'not worthy'.
If this is how you want HC to be perceived then I say shame on you. As far as I understand this is a free forum, no-one here 'owns' it. We have numerous forums for all different types of discussions. And for the most part people rarely derail threads (at least not on purpose) and spamming and trolling is mainly kept to the VW for obvious reasons.
I just think some of the attitudes I've witnessed above are very sad and smack of over-blown self importance.

There's nothing wrong with your OSM posts. They're fine. There's a difference between "fine" and QP-worthy. QP-worthiness is a much higher standard - one that is not necessary to meet.

After reading what Meroe had to post I sort of have to agree. It would discourage noobs to post here because if people think they're making a contribution then others like you, Mvass, will instantly say that's not. Scrap the bloody QP system and let people praise people's posts where necessary. That way nobody can go "no that isn't worth ..." and so on and so forth. It's not nice to have somebody say "that's not worth ..." because it means that they're basically saying your post isn't that good really and how nice is that to see? Not very and I've been in that position quite a few times. Maybe, Mvass, you could phrase things better so that it doesn't sound so bad. Maybe you could say "Yeah that was a good post, keep contributing!" instead of saying "That's not worth a QP". Some more positivity would really help bring this forum up. Seriously..
I also agree about new moderators here. I myself applied but got denied as I'm not active here and haven't been for 3 or so months or so that was what was told to me. Well, my girlfriend was over for 3 months so what am I supposed to do? lol. Never mind that I do think we could do with some new moderators here. The only real active person we have here is Angelito and that's not enough considering there's a fair few people posting in the OSM now rather than the 2 or 3 that posted here before.
