I encourage the discussion.
Still, it's really only about 4-5 words you can't say. With the hundreds of thousands of "legal" words at your disposal, surely you can find plenty of creative ways to make people understand when you're referring to the act of procreation, or the 9-month-later consequence of such act when its done out of wedlock, or the word for solid human waste you might growl, when you find out about it, to the for-hire procreator you did it with.

It's not like this is the only forum where cusswords are not allowed. Pretty much every serious forum is like that. And I'm fine with that cause we're pretty much strangers to each other. Would you use "bad language" talking to strangers? I'd say not since it's generally considered either rude, or primitive.
and on sex thing - how about "we were having sex" ? Like, the most obvious wording rather than pink mumbo jumbo ?

We're having sex is like saying we are having a meal. It's blah.
Anyway, you are not understanding that the fact that certain terms are considered offensive is a discrimination:
SNOW as in illegitimate. The fact that it is an offensive word is active contemporary discrimination of illegitimate born people. You SNOW shouldn't even be seen as offensive. I mean, you worker isn't an offense either - even though it might be one.
A snow is simply a snow, and there should be something like language re-development - which is there, even though it takes time. "Heretic" was once a pretty massive thing, for example.

Personally, I think that those rules are ridiculous. There are no five year olds who are posting here. I think it is okay to use swear words and stuff as long as there is a positive atmosphere on the forums. *
But obviously that isn't the case here so I won't start writing lots of snowy words.

This is a moderator service announcement:
As you may be aware we mods have recently uncovered a few trolls at HC - previously banned members who have come back to haunt our hallowed halls and cause mayhem. Of course our watchful eyes cannot deceived forever, and they were discovered.
Standard policy is to penalize the offending user to maximum flood protect and delete all of their posts. I have exercised these procedures in the OSM, although in cases where deleting posts would damage the readability/integrity of a thread AND the unauthorized posting was not done just to provoke a hostile response, I have penalized only and left the offending posts intact for the time being.
In particular, I deleted several pages of posts in this thread which really had nothing to do with the thread topic and were caused by one of the trolls who was obviously just out to cause trouble. I deleted posts by the troll himself/herself but also a number of replies by other users. Given that the troll was only out to provoke angry responses, I felt this was necessary - also to retain the integrity of the thread. I'm telling you this in the off-chance you should go to that thread and wonder where a good portion of the thread has gone - but to be honest none of the posts I deleted had much substance and will hardly be missed by the community.
EDIT:
+QPs awarded to Smithey and Lexxan here. Lexxan also had a nice post on page 4 of this thread. As you'll see, I like posts that are organized and are able to state a position without relying heavily on quotations.  Nice work, guys!

When you post the names of OSM threads about to be deleted could you also include the thread creator and the date? That would make it much easier to discern quickly if I give a flip.

Besides, PM didn't say that you were a hypocrite, she said that political entities reek of hypocrisy, something that I think most of us could agree on.

Even if Peacemaker had directly called you a hypocrite, I wouldn't be inclined to do anything about it.
For one thing, calling someone a hypocrite is not in my view a malicious attempt to put someone down.
But more to the point, if you're going to get involved in a discussion about politics, you'll have to grow a little skin. You're going to be called things that you may not like, and those things may or may not be true. You've called all Democrats Marxists, after all, in that very thread - and I don't consider this to be an actionable insult, either. If you don't think the label of hypocrite is fair, feel free to explain calmly why this is so, just like any of the board's Democrats should calmly object if they feel your blanket label of Marxists is unfair.

I will recognize and deal with insults that violate the Code of Conduct, and I will do this with fairness and expediency. I will also inform the Community when I take any punitive action. Thus there is really no reason to point out when you think you've been insulted: if it's a true insult, I'm going to catch it and deal with it anyway, and if it's not, well, then you're just going to end up looking silly by expressing forced outrage over a trifle - and you'll gain nothing for your trouble.
@Aculias and Gnomes - Feedback from the peanut gallery is rarely helpful.

I've been keeping a close eye on it. The thought has crossed my mind that he's already earned three in the thread, but I'm not opposed to awarding him a fourth if the chess discussion continues. I'd kind of like to have cause to award someone else a QP in the thread to justify a fourth (hint hint).

I completely agree. I'm not doing this for the +QP, especially as I already have 3. I'd just like to have fun with other chess fans and sometimes tell something new to the community. This sometimes comes by way of long, explanatory posts, but it would be kinda unfair to accept any more QPs. But thanks anyway
