All my HC life I've been taught not to make duplicate threads. The idea of making a new thread when the current one is still active just seems strange and unnecessary to me. I like that there are pics of old people here, that's the whole point - keeping memories. Otherwise we'd just post pics in the VW for lulz. Of course, if there will be a link, they will still be accessible, but if clicking on a link doesn't seem to much of a hassle to you, I don't see how clicking on 250th page is.

I have this little problem in that the edit button is right next to the reply button, and I find myself often accidentally editing someone's post here in the OSM rather than replying to it. This has the unfortunate result of inadvertantly erasing a user's post, and - at least from the computer where I typically do my posting - the back button does not allow recovery of the original post. T
The latest victim of my idiot problem is blizzardboy, whose nice post in the 3rd pary thread was permanently erased by my thoughtless mistake.  I can only apologize to blizz and try to be more cognizant of which button I click on when I reply to posts. I think a way to help myself out would be to do a large portion of my posting while not logged in, as I am not allowed to edit other peoples' posts if I'm not logged in
So if you don't see me logged in very much any more, that's the reason. Don't worry, I'm still around.

In an unrelated bit of moderation, I have modified the name of the thread "Okay, so" to "Eggs are fertilized eggs". In the OSM, please try to choose descriptive thread titles so people know what threads are about without having to actually open the thread. Thx.

Yet another day when my signature reveals itself to be oh-so-correct, but hey, let's make something positive out of the evening, shall we? It took me a while to get around to it but I awarded at +QP to the post nominated by master-learn. Welcome to the QP-club, Necro-Mutant!
And just because I'm feeling happy, and to demonstrate that there is no statute of limitations on the awarding of QPs around here, I'm awarding Lexxan with a QP for a five year old post that has long gone unrecognized for its exemplary quality. You'll find it on the first page of the What is Love thread.
If only we practiced more love here instead of all the unjustified and rather churlish sniping and snarling that I've witnessed today in the very aptly named beastiality thread, maybe there'd be more QPs to go around.

And I would like to nominate Mvass, who has been a very strong and very intriguing discussion partner, as well as respectful, for the majority of that thread (which is an awful thread to be sure, but still has its moments). I've enjoyed our debate, which is something that I thought I'd never be able to do in the OSM.

For what exactly is the QP? For having the same off-topic point of view than the awarding moderator? For trying to establish that hypocrisy is just another word for moral relativism? For proclaiming that morality is when we kill our sentient living food as painlessly as possible?
And what does this all have to do with the topic?
