Its fine to post opinions, in some cases obviously facts are not always clear. However it is irresponsible to represent your own opinion as fact.
In example - I like apples better than oranges. That is my preference and my opinion. There's no problem with me stating it. However if I start posting that it is a fact that apples are better than oranges, and start fights with everyone who doesn't accept my words as truth - I end up looking rather foolish. Likewise - if someone has never tried either reads my posts and believes that it must be absolute fact - they may be led to never try oranges, and wouldn't that just be a shame?
If you were to pay any attention to the discussions recently , you would see that we are going to take a much firmer stance against the type of nationalistic and offensive posting that has gone on here.
With regards to the past threads you speak of, warning were given - it was not "allowed"
I'm not going to tolerate the way you're speaking to me any more - if you cannot control yourself and speak to me in a manner that is polite, i will give you 12 hours to cool off before you can post again.

What I meant was that Asheera can't blame us (TheDeath and me) for ruining the abortion thread, since she posted in it just as much as we did, and in much the same fashion. And then she blamed it on us arguing and monopolizing the thread. I disagreed, saying that the only thing that ruined it was quote wars - it was fine otherwise.

I'm unsure if it is the right place to pose this question, so forgive me if not.
I am a bit confused: I believe for sure I have posted this morning in the "I gave up believing in God" thread. Though the post is no there. So am I a madman or the post was deleted? And if it was so, could the particular Moderator send me a short HCM with reason(s)? I would be most thankful.

I think Dimis should get a juicy QP for his latest creation. Oh and there are probably some other QP in that thread but I fear my math skills have long since passed the point of mortal comprehension (=I suck big time at math) so I am not able to understand just how incredible the guys in that thread are. But it definetly deserves a closer look.

I'd like to nominate Minion and Corribus for a QP. Not due to one specific post but they most certainly are a valueable part of the OSM and whenever they contribute it's always finest quality.
And if you're not willing to give that sort of QP because that may cause others to come "oiii what about meeee?" then perhaps I would simply like you to look here. Which is merely an example of their highly constructive contributions. And in all seriousness Minion and Corribus are an huge enrichment to the otherside.

I would like to understand how Baklavas latest (admittingly hillarious) thread can in good consciousness get a QP while those I nominated (and I don't say that because I nominated them but because they have been nominated) haven't gotten one. Or atleast there hasn't been an explanation as to why they haven't.
And without wanting to say that a mod is guilty of "favouritism" I think it would be very naive to say that the QP didn't come so fast just because it was Bak who posted it.
