Help with multiplayer problems?
I'm new here, but a HMM fan nonetheless.
I wanna do a direct connection or ipx game with another computer I have, instead of having 2 people sit at my computer which can get annoying. The other computer can select all multiplayer options, modem, ipx, direct connect, etc.. but my computer cannot. I get 'error initializing serail connection(modem, ipx, etc), I've reinstalled the game many times, nothing seems to work. I'd like to have help on figuring out why my computer can't do this when the other one can, and how to fix it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who have had these problems.
Both computers have windows XP pro.
Mine is a AMD Athlon XP 2200+.
Other one is Intel Celerson 1.8.
I have 512mb ram.
Other has 256.
Can i possibly get any help? It'd be very appreciated, I want to play a game with my friend and be able to alt tab and do other stuff while he does his turn.
