Someone had mentioned pornography earlier in this thread. Nothing I have against it. Me among most men watch it or have watched it regularly at some point in their lives. But I've actually found its good to not always watch it.
First off, most (if not all) porn is really perverted lol.
But more importantly its completely unrealistic. I wonder how many guys actually (fill in the blank) all over their girlfriend every time they get busy.

Also, I agree (ok so the posts were months ago but still...) that ruining socks is heresy. 
EDIT: Since I bumped it...I'll just give my brief POV on the subject:
It's not bad, it's natural. 
Animals do it too. Religion just likes to send you off on guilt trips making you think that you're bad for doing it.
That and the culture where some people live in...taboos are complicated stuff.
