WoG for map developers

Ok please excuse my ignorance if i am asking for too much here.
I recently designed a WoG map called Battlemania. ( in fact it is 2 separate maps one for 2 player and one for allies )
which i have play tested over 100 times and its a great map although not too original. Its a cross between Giantwar and  Vengence with a pumped up ai hero to create major tactical play for human players.
Here's my dilehma. I have found that for a custom made map to be played to its peak that certain WoG options must be enabled or disabled and this is a long proccess with much play testing involved. Also complicated further with release of WoG 3.58. ( Not complaining i love this version best of all as it lets me save my chosen WoG options )
Overall from start to finish creating map, testing, selecting WoG options and more testing it has taken me over a year to get these maps the way they can best be played in a balanced way.
This is fine for me, but if i wanted to release the map for general play, then players not having my knowledge of the map are going to allow or disable WoG options that will ruin the game for them.
I would imagine that this is a problem that any WoG mapmaker could encounter.
So my question is could the WoG team make it possible for mapmakers to select a set of WoG options that must be used for maps that they make.
As far as i can tell it would involve tampering with the map specifications section of the map editor. I have no idea how hard something like this would be.
Also something like this would not force players to play a certain way because they could use the map editor to change it the same way they would change any map. It would simply serve as a recommendation from the mapmaker based on the time they spent making and testing the map.

Please could one of the WoG team let me know if this is possible.

Yes, it's possible and included already in 3.58. Please read the document "Mapmaker Tools.txt" for instructions on how to do this.

If you have WoG 3.58f, you'll find the document in the "Documentation" folder. If you only have 3.58, I think it's in the "ERM_S" folder instead.

Essentially, it provides a simple way for a mapmaker to automatically load a saved WoG options file into the map that will override any other selections. Of course, you'll need to zip the options file together with the map and tell players where to put it (probably the Maps folder), but that shouldn't be a big deal.

We plan on revamping the WoG site--it's not currently actively updated aside from the main download page. We may still have a Maps section but it will probably be limited or restricted to certain maps or maybe only WoG Team made maps. I don't know when any of this will be done.

You can submit maps to Map Haven, Celestial Heavens or other sites by following their submission guidelines (although I'm not sure if CH has its map section back online yet).

You can find Map Haven at this address:

Celestial Heavens is here:
