Hey have you all gone nuts!?!?!?Yeah WoW IS a cool game
but there are a LOOOOOOOOOT better >>FREE<< MMORPGs like
MU-online LineAgeII and stuff why should you pay 15$ a month
when you can play >>FREE<< and the laging in WoW is so BAD

Wow ? ITs just a boring kids game 
Im still in SWG but they are about to change it now ... if they will destroy it no more MMORPG for me and I think Ill come back to the peaceful heroes games

Hello All,
INteresting input from people of diverse backgrounds.
Question is : How much is 15$ per month to you?
I think that people are entitled in paying whatever they want to play online games. However, keep in mind that if the mass does agree to pay 15$ per month to play, you can bet your life on it that the following year it will be 20$, year after 25$, etc etc.....Viva el Capitalism..........NOT
Whether 15$ is a lot or not per month depends on how much 15$ is worth to you. In some countries, actually, most countries except Western Europe and NA, and other remote areas, 15$ is a lot of money. I think this is also a question of distribution of wealth, which in my opinion is totally unbalacned, rich getting richer, middle-class becoming poorer, and poor remaining poor.
So as long as there are people paying that much money, companies will charge as much as they can, until people stop using their services. For heaven's sake, water is now being charged, the most vasteful resource on Earth, what will be next?? Paying for fresher air, air being polluted in the largest part by industries.
I know im going off topic here, but these are topics were discussing at a table, over a few drinks

Does anybody have cable here? People shell out $30 or more dollars a month in North America to watch tv. You can get a similiar or more enjoyable experience from playing a video game. I'm sorry if that is too much money for people in some countries but that is another issue altogether.
My brother introduced me to WoW and I thought it was extremely cool and better than I thought it would be. I don't play real time games at all...maybe a little Age of Empires type stuff. I like turn based. Anyway, I strongly considered playing it even though I dislike the whole reactions over strategy thing of rts games. That tells me the game is pretty good. These massive multiplayer games are getting better. I see no reason not to charge per month. This allows them to make bigger (and hopefully better) games.
Anyway, don't just assume its like Everquest. Its a nice step up. And I personally don't think massive multiplayer games have to be rts. I'm working on a turn based tactics kind of game that incorporates strategy (like homm) that will likely require a monthly fee in order for it to be worth the time and effort (3+ years of work and lots of money invested in artwork purchasing, etc). The reason I believe this to be the case is that the type of people who will want to play this game will be less in number than those who play the usual rts 3D Massive Multiplayer games. But I believe these people will "really" be into the game and willing to pay the money. If they don't the game won't last. But maybe my example is a unique one? But keep in mind that servers for massive online games cost a lot of money. Eve Online also charges like $15 a month and they have a huge pool of players also (but have been out for a couple of years now).
Just my two cents...

15$ ??? just few hours/month when you HAVE to find some lame excuse for not going to a restaurant with the your girl . 1 hour of scandal for entire month of paid subscription , i think it's worthy . from different point of view, 15bucks for a headache pill could be a bit expensive , but think about the refuge in the middle of the night, especially in some period of the month ..

i will drop by during easter. about the clan war, im not sure kolia will make it, he's very very busy, i talked to him couple days before and he can barely find a free spot to play this period. but we can have a free challenge game , np . i'll be like a defenseless chicken, the most bothering fact is that even balcough might have NOW 10% chances to win (karim has 50% , he's a true fighter, not a wannabe , and well trained aswell). if this will make you happy i can do this for community
