Personally I think there's indeed no need to do that, as many of them are what they are supposed to be, temporary fun & spam.

I dont think anybody will miss VW thread removal logs, however, this reminds me of another idea I had sometime ago, if a VW thread is longer than 15 pages and it consists of something other than mindless spam, I suggest the mods ask the community to either delete it or move it to Tavern BEFORE taking action. Some VW threads develop into pretty cool stuff and it's sad to see them go to the trash can only because the original poster happened to pick VW instead of the Tavern.

Me too, that is a worthwhile discussion.
And also, I still wonder why delete the old threads here.
If logging deletion is unnecessary work... then deleting them is extra unecessary work.
