hrhrrr i remember...fly, DD, thats ok cause magic heroes suck. Well, the might hero that gets it will hand your a$$ to you the same way ^^

But kiddies, what you dont understand is that real players (those who dont pick towns, or run away from losses, or dig for grails, or think Solmyr rocks, or drop if they lose like frank ) dont want to use it...
it doesnt matter to us, winning and using it is just no fun. I mean, its like beating the living $hit out of a tossers like lord_crusader, i did that quiet often with noobs...and i can tell you in the end its a waste of time.
Just like explaining all this to you

Oh, and i got a penalty for using bull*peep*?
Hah, just as silly as your theories, Angelito-Tosser ^^

Why donīt you just get a life and let us noobs try to learn this game? When we will reach your level (hope we will ever....), we will try to get into conversation with you again, by asking for an audience (like u have to do with the Pope).

Do you like a cup of coffee and a cookie in the meanwhile?
Or should i get someone who could clean your shoes?

Just tell us...we all will be pleased to serve you

Have to agree partly with Rychentosser.
But I just like wild games every now and then; I like a good dip-game and I like a Jebus for a change. Heck, I even played Tim in Nec-btls hehe

But when it comes to skill and planning, Jebus requires minimum.

I like wild games too, last night I played an extreme necro war with Vel, was very fun for how far we got into it.

But I sure insulted Tech somehow Later he said he misread my room info, but I wasnt expecting what I got...my room info says "All random preferred, only gamebreaker rules. Jebus players and castle pickers, away with ye."

He didnt like that

Iīm on your side with most of your points, but not with the style u bring them along. Even for the fact this game is already about 7 years old, there come new players to the zone every week. They all played the game like most of us did before we went online. With DD, fly, Diplo (Cyra was best hero..) and all this other stuff. They probably never played for a tourney. And yes, there are still some players in the zone who have "their own" rules...and probably look saves, use trainers, edit maps and so on. For sure there are unhonorable players...but there are also many new players who want to learn...and i think we should give them all a chance to improve their gameplay.
There are still many honorable players around, and i would like to play them more often, but the time difference is a handicap....and my poor gamestyle perhaps aswell...

So when u still like this game, u will find many good players around....come back and get addicted again...

Well Andi is a good guy, and a good mate of mine. I dont presume to speak for him but I'd imagine he is a shade embarrassed about his behaviour a couple of years ago when he got bored of heroes and this particular board turned to crap (which it did for a while). Also around the same time, the tourneys, especially ToH went out of control with Kitten running it and I know he and Motor were frustrated by that. In no way do I condone his behaviour back then but he had his reasons which I ubderstand.

He's talking of playing heroes again...so you never know I sure hope to see him playin again coz we had hundreds of fun games, and contrary to popular belief, he is one of the most honorable players out there.

be nice girls.

Andi has some good points though, at one time this forum was ok. It had some weirdo decisions by an unnamned hexa mod but there were some ok discussions.

But right now its boring.

Library isnt strategy anymore, its n00bdaycare.

Thats why xar is the only skilled player around here giving advice nowadays. For your own good hope that he doesnt grow bored of it

As for andi, i guess thats the price to pay for partly doing a "troelsen"  though Id still like to play you in a game - allied or single player doesnt matter.

adam.. next time someone goes nuts in zone like that wake me up

anyways... if you andicastleplayer, rychenadamhellspawntosserroller and kuma are up for an allied game sometime let me know. Would be fun having a battle with you.

It's still ok.  And no one is forcing you to read and post here.  Why do you have to bring people down all the time?

A lot  of people come here for a break from the everyday hustle and bustle.  Don't ruin it for them.

I rememebered that Andi, when you beat Flamingo in the very finals of the clan war which was a deal back then.
Basically whoever won that match won it all.

I rememeber we were rivals for yrs since i was new.
In the yrs, we tend to respect each other more because i came to understand why you were angry at how toh fell when Ves left TOH in Amandas hands after he got fed up & quit for heroes 4 because he was Optimistic.

I still need revenge after you beat on my Teddy bears anyways

P.S Am i still the Sugar bunny ?

On a more serious note,I dont regret none of the tension between us for those yrs but plenty of respect & i understtod why you & many others left.
ANother of many reasons to despise Amanda.

I forgot to copy the room info iīve read today in the zone from a romanian player named "ciumetele" or similar.
Itīs really getting dangerous in nearer future i guess:

Besides the normal 20 rules like: no dd,fly, rr, hf,Sir Mullich.....blablah he added the following:

NO BORN log, armorer, offense, resistance hero as main!

This means, the following heroes are banned with his rules:

Tower (4)
Cyra (diplomacy)
Fafner (resistance)
Neela (armorer)
Rissa (offense)

Castle (4)
Adela (diplomacy)
Edric (armorer)
Sorsha (offense)
Mullich (+2 speed)

Dungeon (6)
Ajit (resistance)
Arlach (offense)
Dace (offense)
Damacon (offense)
Gunnar (logistics)
Shakti (offense)

Inferno (5)
Ignatius (resistance)
Marius (armorer)
Nymus (offense)
Pyre (logistics)
Octavia (offense)

Rampart (7)
Clancy (resistance)
Ivor (offense)
Kyrre (logistics)
Mephala (armorer)
Ryland (diplomacy)
Thorgrimm (resistance)
Ufretin (resitance)

Stronghold (11)
Dessa (logistics)
Gundula (offense)
Saurug (resistance)
Crag Hack (offense)
Gretchin (offense)
Gurnisson (offense)
Jabarkas (offense)
Krellion (offense, resistance)
Shiva (offense)
Tyraxor (offense)
Yog (offense)

Fortress (8)
Alkin (armorer, offense)
Broghild (armorer)
Bron (armorer, resistance)
Drakon (armorer)
Gerwulf (armorer)
Korbac (armorer)
Tazar (armorer)
Wystan (armorer)

Necropolis (16)
All heroes have necromancy

Conflux (4)
Fiur (offense)
Ignissa (offense)
Monere (offense, logistics)
Pasis (offense)

So in summary, he bans 65 heroes from the start of the game...

Lol Angelito are yiu sure you got that right?I saw something like that too and i'm prety sure it was the same player.I even wrote about that on page 4.It's only that i copy pasted exactly what that guy had in his room: "no log/armourer/offense/resistance spec as main "

This is by no means an attempt to defend my fellow romanian player, this sounds as absurd as the other one, it's just that no one could be that stupid as to ban all the heroes that start with a certain skill

Wowwwwwwww... I never get an insult from anyone... well maybe from Sir_Stiven (that's normal ), I don't remember had a game with you... maybe some day we can play a game(with or without your rules), I don't like the rules in the game, but if the other players have some rules is ok for me, whatever... is the same for both player... rules or no rules in the beginning of the game both players have the same chance to win... I don't think that a noobie online player(like me) can beat an experiencied player... with rules or without rules... the advatage is always for the guy who knows better the game, and knows the tactic... I love this game(basquetbol too ), I never will refuse any game because the other have their rules... I don't like but is ok for me... and if I get loss, is sure that I'm learning something new...

Just for say something againist the hunt of n00bs in this community... I don't think all you guys the experts ones, born with the knowledge and the ability to play this game, all you guys learn from other better than you, and this is one of the greatest things of this game years come, years go, and we still having new players, I don't know the beggining of this forum, but in some moment this community was just like is today, full of n00by questions and full o new players thinking his hotseat or VS AI, can't be wrong, and thinking that all those guys in the HC are crazy for say "go first for creatures and not for money..." or "solmyr sux"...(you can see my very first threads here )...

so... please stop hunting the new ones... and I want to ask for the experienced players don't leave alone this community, because is for you guys that this community was a great place(for me still as a great place), and for you guys this community will stay here with pass of the years...

Let me just ask you what u think makes someone an experienced player.

The time he's playing HoMM (any)
The time he's playing online
Or the wins he had in online games.

Cause I'm playing HoMM from the beginning, well HoMM 1 anyway.
Yet i never played online before, only LAN.
Does this make me a (hate this word) noob?

By the way, my english isn't perfect, so this may sound hostile in your ears, it isn't meant that way

Grtz.

The time he's playing online usually defines the players skill level, and this is why many online players defines LAN/hotseat players as noobs. this is often the case too, only very few non online players have the skill level of the best ones online, because most players that play only offline trains on the wrong stuff. It's just like when you practise for the drivers license. If you start to drive with your parents before you have had your first few lessons with a teacher, you are doomed to need more lessons with this teacher before reaching the same level as a driver who started off with the teacher, instead of wasting his time driving with his grandma

So, basically what I want to say is: yes, you can be an experienced player (a highly skilled player that is) without having played online, but, most likely you are not. (a lowly skilled player who knows the game, but not how to play it efficently) the best way to learn this game is by playing it online.

with regards
LL

first of all hi Munzai :P

I have noticed your presence in the Library thies last few days and you seem like a nice guy.To me it seems like you are in a dilema..
You have been an offliner all your life and began to think that you master the game at it's best.It happen to me too...i used to play with friends and even challanged strangers.I also used your tactic:3,4 heroes max, capitol week 2 day 1 and then lvl 7 dwell day 7 week 2 or even later. My average game lenghth was somewhere around late month 2, mid month 3 or maybe later.
I gain enough skill to defeat almost all guys i played with, so i figured i am prety good. That's before coming to this board..This changed my perspective a lot:

First i couldn't understand how someone can have 9 archangels week 3 and a lvl 20 main hero.It seemed outrageous...I also couldn't understand this whole chaining concept. But with time i started to apply these tactics and realised the advantages they offer.
So now i would say that a good player isn't determined by how much he plays the game(especially not by how much time he spends kicking the AI's butt), but of how much knoledge of the game he has.

Offline games have their benefit offcourse.Learning the combat part of the game in wich many players and even onliners have much to learn. But online games are to me a real challange cos you get to face your skills to a human player, who has ambition and itelect as you have, not against a recursive algorithm that will act the same every time. That is why i hope you will try at least one online game and make the difference yourself.

I appologise if i misjudged your gamestyle or if i insulted you in any way, it was by no means my intention, it's just what i could figure out from your posts.

see ya on the zone

Hi,

Thx a lot Tigris for the official welcome
Appreciate it.

Like i said on an other thread, i'll try to be online 20.00 today, it's 14.30 now.
So i'll hunt you down like a little bunny, haha

It's most likely u guys are right about the tactics, but I'll use my own as long it goes well.
Man, been few weeks since i played HoMM3.
Gotta get warmed up again

I'll check the forums at least once a day by the way, unless any unforseen circumstances occur ofcourse. (broke a finger on that sentence)

And I couldn't agree with you more LordLazy, thx for the reply.
