Hydra--ability to cross moat with no damage/stoppage

in heroes 3, fortress always pretty much sucked at invading other bases. i think it would be interesting if in heroes 5 hydras had the ability to cross moats with no damage and no stoppage while in the moat. or maybe make it so the upgraded hydra gains this ability, if there are upgrades.. at any rate, i think there should be some creature in the game thats speciality involves defying the moats. of course this is all assuming they stick with moats in heroes 5, etc. i dont think this ability is unfair. the hydras multiheaded attack surrounding all hexes should stay no matter what, but maybe get rid of no retaliation. however, i still think it is fair and makes sense for no retaliation against hydras... questions/comments/suggestions welcomed..--c0ldshadow

do you mean that hydra as a swanp creature should not have penalty in moats? then i guess the same should apply to all swamp creatures. then what about crossing adventure map water?

A sound idea to boost the Hydra

I think the point is that inside the Fortress town, the Hydra dwelling is a pond; or pool if you prefer. So this opens up some thought that the Hydra creatures can brave moats with little or no problem. I kind of dig the idea myself, although I can't quite picture a Hydra crossing an Inferno fire moat or Tower mine field without taking a scorching. Perhaps it would be a good idea to draw some limits. I'm thinking (for a start) that maybe the Hydra can trudge through Fortress moats unhindered while the usual penalty still stands when crossing foreign moats. This gives the Fortress a kind of advantage while battling towns of their own race, yet balances out when it comes to taking others'. Then again, you wouldn't come to me if you wanted a talk on fair game balance, so your constructive criticism is welcome.
