ohhh. i did:
-Explain the rise of the Inferno and Fortress towns?
-Why did the Undead drop the mummies in favor of the Wraiths?
-Why did the Barbarians drop the troll's in favor of the Rocs?
-What about The wizards? They dropped half of their roster..Halflings, Boars, and Rocs all replaced. Why?
-Why did the Centaurs nad Green dragons leave for the Sorceresses? Why did the Gargoyles leave for the Wizards? What about Gryphons? Why did they align themselve's with the humans? Why did Hydra's abandon the warlocks for the new race?
i also did full town explanations for fortress, tower and dungeon
also does anyone have any questions about the Rampart. if u do post em and i will answer them in my explanation

im so bad at writing stories, i always write like a text book, a badly written text book
Pillar of Eyes/upgr pillar of eyes 1 all
the crystal is pretty much to power eyelasers
the gem is probably used in the construction of the tower. without machines to build these towers they need magic, and gems are nice sources of magic
mercury is probably used in the creatur, Mercury fulminate is an explosive substance and maybe placed in thier tentacles for thier close combat slappy thing, merc is also a metal so its for conducting electricity in the slappy thing
sulphur, sulphur nitride has unusual electrical and optical properties, good for something thats just an eye and shoots lasers
thats all i think i'll do manticore Lair/upg manticore lair next

Okay i had some time 2day and i decided to rewrite all my creature rescource explainations. why you ask, because i got a few facts wrong and i worded out the whole thing like a drunk typing with his/her nose, and i was bored.
I've written it out so its more...history/biology text book like.
Anything written in italics means its scientific fact
anything not in italics is either a mythology, fiction or i made it up.
Red Dragon/ Black Dragon – 1 sulfur
It is a common fact that red and black dragons have a flaming breath; as such it is most likely that the sulfur is used to create the fire for their deadly attack. The dragon’s usage of sulfur would also explain the comment that dragon caves “smells like eggs” which is a very frequently used comparison as hydrogen sulfide though odorless, when burned emits sulfur dioxide which is infamous for its suffocating smell . Some believe this is meant to keep the wondering travelers away from their caves.
Chaos Hydra – 1 sulfur
The chaos hydra is known to breath poisonous breath, this is a perfect theory as to the usage of sulfur. Sulfurous acid is a dangerous substance causing harm to the lungs, eyes and tissue. In organisms without lungs (plants and insects) it will prevent respiration. Sulfurous acid is created by dissolving Sulfur dioxide in water , which is where the hydra lives (in a lake)
Devil/ Arch Devil – 1 mercury
One of the most interesting uses of mercury are its uses in alchemy, alchemy is the pursuit of immortality usually in the form of searching for a substance called the philosophers stone/pill of immortality. It is claimed that mercury is the key to finding immortality hence the desire for it to be possessed by the devil kind. Such a power as immortality would be a great asset to the devils, but to find this power they need the research and of course more mercury to test in their study for immortality. It is also claimed that mercury is the first form of matter from which all metals are formed, even gold. With the strength of infinite gold and immortality the devils would be unstoppable, it is no wonder why the devil kind crave mercury.
Ghost Dragon – 1 mercury
Mercury is used for their ageing special ability.
Green Dragon/ Gold Dragon – 1 crystal/ 2 crystal
The green and gold dragons both have immunities to spells of a certain level. This is most likely due to the usage of crystals, which can be used for magical resistance purposes. Yet the area in which the substance is used is unclear. Some claim the crystal is consumed by the dragon hence having an effect somehow in their physical biological structure. Others claim their scales are coated with the crystal allowing a small shield if you will protecting the dragon.
Ancient Behemoth – 1 crystal
The Ancient behemoth is an ancestor of the behemoth. In order to get an Ancient behemoth from a behemoth the Behemoth must be taken back to its un-evolved more primitive fierce form. Hence the crystal is used to age the beast into a great creature of power.
Giants/ Titans – 1 Gem
The giant’s immunity to mind magic is likely the cause of the use of gem in its helmet to resist mind spells. As well the giant has a strong sword, which seems to be surging with electricity. The gem is also likely to be used for powering up this sword.

i didnt like that post. i found that since u already did the creatures before that it was like watching a bad movie again, u know whats gonna happen next. i couldnt get through it all since it was basically the same stuff.

well i didnt want to give out incorect facts
you see i mentioned sulfur smelled like eggs
it was actually sulphur dioxide and there were a few other mistakes in my building explainations.
ohh well i'll just get back to what i was doing before

I definitely think that the armor is enchanted so the wearer of the armor can fly much faster with the wind and it is made from the finest light armor made ever.Its just so simply.And for what are those gems good?Well someone whose making those armor plates and swords must be paid too

sorceress ---> Rampart
scene: the sun had just turned in and all have had a few beers in the local tavern, men and woman alike are about to follow the sun to bed when...
*old man stands and all await for his words to come*
men, women. i come to u tonight to tell u the story of the changes that occured many years ago with the sorceresses and how they became the rampart.
it all began when the sorceresses headed out of thier humble abode in search of a new place to call home. they, being closely linked with nature, wanted a home close to the forest and cliffs. a place where nature ran its course as much as the next place, a place where nature was perfect. the sorceresses packed and were ready to set off the next morning
problems began from that night. first of the sprites were very much enjoying their time in their treehouse. they had decorated it and made it feel like their home, which it became since they wouldnt leave. they stayed in their treehouse and became neutral. next to leave were druids led by the greater druids. they were beggining to dislike fighting and killing of gods creatures. they told the sorceresses of their situation and departed into hiding. it isnt know where they are today but there are rumors. the phoenixes left next. it isnt known why they left. all that is known is that they left when no one was present to see them. all that was left was a burning red tower and a few hatched eggs.
*the old man lifts his cup and downs the last bit of ale present in it and continues*
and so they set off. they set off with some dwarves, many elves and a few unicorns. it hardly seemed like enough creatures to be a force so they set about finding new creatures to make them something to be feared.
2 days passed and the unicorns suddenly stopped. the action was repeated by the rest of the army soon after. creatures were beyond the next corner. neutral creatures. the unicorns stood ready as did the dwarves, the elves stood with bows leaded ready to fire a volley of arrows. the creatures rounded the corner. the first several died as the result of the elves arrows. the next few came out a bit more cautiously but also dies by the elves. the remaining came out with thier hands up signaling thier defeat. thier leader was taken and talked with. the sorceresses and the centaur leader cut a deal. the centaurs would serve for the sorceresses and the sorceresses wouldnt kill the centaurs. the centaurs accepted but always had that part of them that cried "VENGEANCE".
pegasus, the beautiful but deadly creature of the rampart. they were found 8 days after departure. the soceresses heard a nearby spring which they needed to refil thier water supply and also to bathe. they cleared the shrubs to revealed pegasus flying all around the spring playing games. they were very friendly and allowed the sorceresses very close, so close the sorceresses could touch them. the sorceresses stayed a few days at the spring and befriended the pegasus eventually the pegasus allowed the sorceresses to get on the pegasus and fly with them. the pegasus were then taught how to follow commands and eventually were ridden by female elven warriors. the sorceresses also found that spellcasting strained them more with pegasus around. so they sorceresses now had a new fierce battle creature but the pegasus didnt know this. the first few times the pegasus were lead into battle they took flight rather than fight. eventually they became tough and can now go into any battle and fight.
the sorceresses came across a valley 17 days after departure. the valley was rich with animals which scattered when approached, and had lush, multitudes of trees on either side. the grass was green, flowers were blossoming and nature was anywhere u layed your eyes. it was perfect.
They called it "Forest Glen" for its lush forests and its location.
once a town hall was built things started to come together. places were built for the creatures and plans for a fort were made. pieces of the puzzle were coming together nicely but still there was alot of work to be done.
one day a child went out into the forest and came back screaming saying that the trees were moving. the child was dismissed but when trusted residense reported the same thing an investigation was carried out. it seemed that thier were some creatures in what seemed like an ordinary patch of woods. they called themselves Dendroids, the creatures that are the forest.
they were unpredictable at first because they slept, attacked and walked away at any given moment. eventually they decided to join the sorceresses for 1 sole reason, if they didnt, they would perish at the hands of the sorceresses.
the last ally of the sorceresses are the green dragons. they were at Forest Glen before the sorceresses but since they were up high in the cliffs, they were very mush out of sight. one day the dragons however venurted down into the valley and found Forest Glen. they noticed the centaurs and offered thier allegiance which the sorceresses accepted. some dragons soon evolved into gold dragons which were able to resist more spells than the green dragons. the dragons, like the centaurs, always had a plan to destroy the sorceresses some day when the time was right
the sorceressess, with the totally new location called themselves the "rampart" and started training rangers to lead armies into battle. the sorceresses were still wanting more creatures but with no more around and enemies invading, they would have to be prosponed for a bit
and that is the story of the story of how the sorceresses became the rampart
*with that the old man turned and all eyes were on him, he positioned himself so that all had backs to the fireplace that was home to a small fire. he threw into the fire something that poped loudly. when they all turned back he was gone*

Overall, a relatively good and read. The funny part was when the mighty Green Dragons joined the Sorceresses just because they had the dragons' old buddies the Centaurs with them.
I guess you're not covering the Enroth/Erathia relationship in your story. Not that you have to, but I just noticed this.

I'm thinking I will do another story soon, although I don't have any good ideas yet. Motivation is usually the key to pumping up my creativity and enthusiasm, but it looks like only three of us are viewing this thread and leaving feedback. Right now it just feels dead, despite our efforts. It's unfortunate.
Have an idea about what you will do next?

nice story, i'll have to get a creature done soon.
okay i'll just do an easy one for now,
Cyclops Cave - 20 crystals
it is quite known to many that the cyclops is not the brightest light in the room. cyclops are actually quite easily pursuaded to do whatever you want. being the dull creatures they are they can be quite amazed with shiny things, ie crystals.
does anyone have any comments on any of the tras... i mean stuff i've done so far?

only us three see it plus maybe another few that arent signed up. its really starting to get to me

Altar of Wishes - 6 crystal 6 gems
well as an altar there are most likely gifts given to these creatures, being one of the more higer species they would most likely wish many riches such as gems and crystals, as well as to decorate their magic lamps. With many other creatures the rescourse is usually about power or actually usage, for the genie its all about style

Agreed. What's slightly worse is when somebody says they hate reading through multiple paragraph posts; they miss out on a lot. I was thinking about compiling the full town stories in a seperate thread, but I turned down the idea thinking it wouldn't be worth it.
I'm probably going to do Nagas next. Also, I am working on a little side project that should prove to be a little interesting (I hope). More on that later.

well this shouldn't be in the library in the first place. But since it is here, well I'd like to tell you a few things.
Very few stories are decent or even readable in the first place.
The one about the creation of dungeon was absolutely dreadful. The tale does not even respect the story line, and the writing is completely childish.
The centaurs left the warlocks why? And they couldn't get their bows from the armoury, but they were able to make spears?
Or the green dragons saw their younger friends and decided to join them?
I mean I know you put some effort in these stories, but I mean common.
The story about the dendroids was decent, but not many others in this thread. How about you guys take a different approach. Like talk about how mutare came to power, and don't just sweep generally over something so broad. Take bits from the campaign from AB, and incorporate them with your story line. The intrigue, the politics, characters, the strategic planning, they should all have a place within the story. Don't just put out a general history that looks like it was written for a 12 year old, cause then of course you won't get many answers.
