Hmm

What surprised me about Michigan is how little McCain spent and how much of the Republican vote he got. I thought it was going to be like Utah when Bush won something like 76% of the vote. I thought Romney was going to win it by a mile but he barely squeezed by McCain.

The best thing I like about this election cycle for the caucuses is how wide open both fields seem. It looks to be anybody's game thus far. There are no clear winners. And everyone is screaming they've made a comeback. Surely this can't be so. How many comebacks can the candidates have?

I can predict one thing, though. Romney will win Utah.

If Clinton and McCain get their respective parties' nomination, I can see Clinton picking Lieberman as her VP candidate. I can see McCain doing the same. So... what if that happens? What would the VP debate look like?

Anyway, Clinton/Lieberman vs. McCain/Lieberman! You heard it here first.

I Disagree

Lieberman is not going to be anyone's Vice President. McCain has a long road ahead of him. It's clear that people believe Romney can bring life to our receeding economy. Clinton's choice of Vice President is going to be the smart choice: Someone who can win them more votes.

Even though I doubt it's possible, I'd laugh if she chose former President Clinton to be her Vice President.

What kinda gets me is that people fail to see the truth with Clinton.  You think she actually misted up?  No, that was pure acting, and man is she good.  No wonder she will most likely win the nomination.  The 'awww' poor girl factor.  As a female, I think that is a new low for her.  Of course, I'm not a big Clinton fan period.  I would rather Bobo the Chimp be elected.  So I am biased.  Maybe it was genuine emotion, but I would say the chances are slim to none, and slim just left town.

Hehe, the truth? And you would of course know that now would you. Oh please. That is just your cynicism. I think it was genuine, it could be heard in her voice. But that is not the point...

The funny thing is how this is such a big deal for many people. Some can't vote for her anymore because of the tears - and at the same accuses the others for voting her merely because of that. Like her merits are nothing suddenly. The most qualified democratic candidate.

I've given up

When I first heard about Ron Paul and his rational stances, and how well he was doing in internet polls, I had hopes that America might have learned from its mistakes and make it right, and actually SAW what the real problem is - the fact their whole country is run by a bunch of rich elitists who keep the lesser population dumb and afraid and themselves in power and wealthy.

I've given up hope.

Minion, I have to agree that in politicing she is absolutely hands down the most qualified.  I won't argue that point.  Sometimes that is not a good thing however.  Especially because of the 'same old same old'.  In my opinon it is time for a change.  Just not sure any of them actually will make a difference whatsoever.

Now a few political newslets.  Bush proposes buying votes..I mean rebating some of OUR money to us.  In effort to get some more votes for republicans, I mean spur the economy Bush is proposing a $600 dollar extra back on our taxes to American Citizens.  Now I am all for getting more back, don't get me wrong. Yes I would fall within the economic guidelines to recieve said money.  All fine and dandy.  Just can't help but feel it is a last ditch effort to buy votes.  Again, can just be because I am jaded.

I am neither republican or democrat.  I usually just vote my conscious and let it go.  To be honest I don't really care who wins, even Clinton.  Don't think anything will change regardless.  Almost all of them go back on their campain promises as soon as in office.  The few that are actually upstanding that make it in, soon get lured by the vast ammounts of money and sell out quick.  Or even with the position of president can do so little to change things, it doesn't matter that they don't sell out.

Don't get me wrong, I love living in America.  Wouldn't change it for anything.  I am however jaded with our judicial system and president/house/senate.  You can really like certain things about something and dislike certain things about the same thing.

What kind of a change are you looking for? I think it needs clarification because the word is so overused in the campaigns. All the democrats have based their campaigns on it. And Mitt Romney from republicans, because he saw that the public is really buying into that.

For Democrats, change means anything that isn't President Bush.

For Republicans, change means anything that isn't President Bush.

Like politicians do anything they say they will do anyways.  Look at the current candidates who are congressmen/women.  They make all these promises about what they do when they are elected/relected.  Then they get elected and take almost two years off campaigning.  Just how exactly are they supposed to do their jobs when they are off selling empty promises to America?

Right now change means (for me) anybody that is not a rich white male.  Can be a poor white male, or anything else.  Like I said though, don't think it will make a difference one way or another.  Every one of them is lying, guess we just got to figure out which is lying LESS.

Over The Wall And Out Of The Park

Oh my goodness after tonight's South Carolina's results I am floored. Unbelievable. It's almost exactly what Obama had said when asked, "Why do you think the black community hasn't shown their support for you?" He answered, "Because they need to know I'm electable. They need to see me win something first."

True enough and boy did he win big in South Carolina. Amazing turnout winning over 55% of the vote. That is huge! He wins Iowa and that gave him the momentum he needed. Wow when I hear somebody talk about change I think I can almost imagine what they see in him. The guy is the real deal.

Having said that...I still feel he needs to address the black community's greatest problem. I'm not talking about crime, drug use, education, or religious preferences. I'm talking about the pure and simple fact that most black families are raised by single mothers, moreso than any other demographic in this country. You know I'm a stay at home father so to me this is a very big deal. Men need to take a more active role in being a part of their families.

I would love to see a president like Obama for the USA.

If he will do a bad job, you always have the chance to kick him out of oval office after 5 years....like you had with Georgie boy..
