So in this question, what is the total HP count for the attacker (to calculate which creatures and how many) to use & what exactly will the attacker be fighting against (# of units, unit type and stacks)?

Lets say the total hp of the attacking stack is 5000 and the defending stack is war unicorns

Ok so Attacker has expert offense and 50 att. with 5000 hp of creatures.
Defender has expert armor and 99 defense and War Unicorns (I'm assuming 5000 hp worth), which would = 45 War Unis.
Of my 3 earlier choices this would give me either:
1) 10 Fairy Dragons (edit)
2) 16 Ancient Behemoths
3) 71 Mighty Gorgons
I guess I would have 2 questions here... would there be any magic used (besides Fairy Dragons if chosen) or is all magic negated in this scenario?
2nd - What is the attack of the defender and the defense of the attacker?
In this scenario, I am favoring the AB's... if no magic, the AB's would attack the War Unis 2 times before being attacked... plus the defense reduction specialty.
Edit** - Looks like I made an error when calculating the number of Fairy Dragons. I was thinking 750hp instead of 500hp. Must have gotten mixed up with the Crystals.

i think the question is totally ****** up.
The unit making the most physical dmg as you cant expect a certain amount of luckbased specials must be beths since the 80% defense reduction.
That would be given you only take physical dmg into concideration etc etc etc

1. The Ancients will do about 1900 damage in average.
2.The fairies will do about 50 (!!) damage in hand-to-hand and at max. 1250 damage with magic (chainlightning).
3. The Mighty Gorgons will do about 350 damage in average and can kill max. 8 unis with deathstare, makes 880 damage. In summary, that will make about 1230 damage.
Ancients are, as expected, the clear winner!
Edit:
I also tried 833 skeleton warriors (average of 450 damage) and 1250 familiars (average of 650 damage)

The Ancients are a clear winner naturally. But why only 6 Faerie Dragons, when 10 of them have a HP total of 5000?

hehe 10 faeries cast a 2050 chainlighning while 16 AB will deal 1.6-2.7k damage so overallit's a close fight afterall

Well folks i'm afraid it's time for another question:
Let's imagine a huge fight on a fixed map week 4 month 2.You are Stronghold versus castle(only natives units allowed).Your hero has superior stats, but your opponent has caught u ofguard and you only have 20 SP left.And on top of that the bastard has the Recanter's Cloack too .
That messed up your plans as you had earth tome and the implo&resurection combo is always good.And to make it even better he starts blinding your units and u have no cure nor dispel.what can you do to get those ancints in action again?
