I did what you said. Still have the same problem. The only thing the disk clean up did was clean a temporary internet folder.

ok i looked up your problem (i should really find better things to do with my time) and got this solution
go to start
go to run
type in MSConfig
select the start up tab
then select the disable all button
i think all those programs running stop it from working because there isnt enough memory to get things going.
this should work, why would i say that? because when i didnt think up of the answer, its bound to work

Tnx for the advice. I tried it. Still no luck. What I can't understand is why it ain't running now. I played this game with this same comp a few years back. I don't remember adding any program that would drastically change my comp settings.

I posted your question on the official board, so please stick around for the results.
By the way, since Disk Cleanup didn't work, have you tried scanning your computer with ScanDisk and Disk Defragmentor? They are located in the same Programs menu as Disk Cleanup, so you can find them. It's usually recommended to run those scans to help with diagnostics.
In the meantime, I'll wait for a reply on the main board. Stay tuned.

Tnx for the help. But I already asked Keith(is that his name?). I found his e-mail somewhere in the site. I emailed him. Still couldn't find a way to resolve it. This is getting frustrating.

Btw, I defrag my comp once a month. Keith also suggested changing the compatibility of the setup.exe file. But still no results.

Hmmm, this seems like a difficult issue. Hang in there, though, and keep checking back. If I get any replies from them, I'll see if there's any more tricks we can do to fix your problem.

I tried copying the disk and installing from my desktop, installing in safe mode(to make sure only systems programs run), changing the compatibility of the setup.exe, and still get the same message.
It ain't the disk cause I tried it on my girlfriend's comp and it worked. We have basically the same components as it goes for memory and OS. The only difference is that she has a bigger hard drive(which couldn't be my problem since I got 14 gigs free). There must be something in my comp's setting preventing the installation of this game.

This is getting frustrating. Lol. Playing in her house won't work. I have to give her my full attention. If you guys know what I mean. I just handed the disk to her bro when I went there and told him to see if it works. Now he is the one playing the game and keeps on asking me what to do. Not sure if he is doing it on purpose to piss me off(in a friendly way that is).

I remember beating the others to Level 7, and that it was pretty hard. We were all kind of stumped at Level 6 and we had to extend the stop times several times. A_R_F and Niceguy were quite good; I had a lot of fun reliving the game alongside those two.
