Today I dreamed that I was drowing... I was taking a walk at some river either the Tama river or the Han river when the waterlevel suddenly started to rise... I tried to run to higher ground but the water just rose really fast and I was swept into the stream. I managed to swim for a little while but then being clothed and all I was beginning to sink. I remember losing my shoe so I dived after it I mean I wouldn't want to lose my shoe for some dumb reason. I screamed help and there was a rowing boat with 3 old people inside and while fighting to stay a float I think they stoped. I remember going for the boat but that's when I lost my shoe so I dived to get it since the boat was close so I should make it. I got my shoe but suddenly it was really hard to get back up and then I woke up. Seriously unpleasant experience... especially since I actually felt like choking. Not nice really.

Time experience versus Real time - in dreams
The time I experience pass while I dream are very short, almost always. I experience a few seconds or maybe a minute or two and then I wake up the following day.
Sometimes, I wake up and realise maybe a few hours or a few minutes have passed. Which is nice, should one decide to snooze, but it's not something which I can control, as such I try my best to avoid snoozing.
Then there's the very seldom event. I wonder if any of you have experienced this? As I recall, I have experienced it twice.
The event is basicly that you sleep as long in Real time as you usually do, i.e. ~a couple of minutes up to several hours. However the time you experience in your dream stretches for a really really long time and it's continous, no time jumps, etc.
I have had this type of dream twice, I believe. The first time, I think I was around 8-12. It was just like I woke up the next day and continued my life as usual (except for the fact that I were still dreaming). Several years passed and I achieved what I wanted. Life was wonderful. Then I woke up... and you know what? I wasn't sad, because it was all just a dream. I was happy. For me, it was like "Wow a second childhood, now I can do all this awesome stuff!".
The second time it happened, I were about 16-18 years old. I were a bit worried, having shown myself bad tendencies of easy getting addicted to various activities involving the computer. Heck I spend most of my time, where I should prepare for important exams, at an internet forum.
Anyhow. In my dream, which once again, the time I experienced was equivalent to many many years, I continued this bad behaviour and I failed horribly in my wants.
When I finally woke up, though it's hard to recall now, I were in a tragic state. As I woke, and realised it was just a dream, I were once again happy. This time, mostly because I had just went through an incredible depressing life and magicly I had been given a second chance, I had been teleported back in time, I were young again.
What I always have been most excited about this, however, is that basicly, it means I've not actually experienced 23 years. About 1/3 of the time, I have been sleeping, which means I have experienced ~14 years and 122 days. (Wow I am ACTUALLY 14 then? You guys are pedophiles for wanting a relationship with a 14 year old! ). However, though I don't anymore recall how long actually went, should one include all time I've experienced, those few minutes over the years in dreams should be added up. As well should those many years in the two dreams. Because it's the time I have experienced.
Maybe it means I'm actually 23? Maybe I'm in my 30's or even 40's?

I had a dream that I saw a QP in the tavern... and I was like "Hmm?" then I saw the "Awarded by Vlaad" which was when I woke up wreathed in cold sweat. Maybe it was because I watched the super extended collectors edition of LotR: The Fellowship yesterday but still....it was scary.

My favourite kind of dreams are the lucid ones. They are a kind of escape from my life, to a mysterious dimension where I get to not feel pain all the time, and I'm all-powerful. Come on, what's more satisfying than turning a toothpick into a lightsaber staff, using it to...(CENSORED), with nothing but your MIND?  Pity that they don't come along often enough.

Once,I was dreaming of being able to move things from afar,telekinesis.
When I woke up,I was like WTF,why cant I move things anymore? It took me a couple of seconds to realize i was in the boring reality.
On another occasion,when I woke up,I did not recognize the voice of my brother.I thought like "Who the hell is that guy? Where am I ? "
